“Those…those brats are monsters!”

“Did you learn your lesson?” Lance asked.

His jaw clenched, Jackson flipped Lance off, not bothering to answer with words. It was quite obvious that Jackson couldn’t handle eight boys!

“Doesn’t seem like he did,” Creed said.

“I’m not babysitting anymore!” Jackson declared firmly. He would rather have been flogged than be given babysitting duty.

“Maybe next time you get the idea to break into all of our houses,” Jace said.

“And stick googly eyes everywhere,” Grant added.

“Everywhere,” Mac growled.

“You’ll remember this,” Byron finished.

“But probably not,” Skinner offered.

Jackson turned then walked right into Finn’s arms. He couldn’t do it any longer. It had been a joke. Just a small prank. And it had been funny! Jackson buried his face in Finn’s chest.

“Okay, boy.” Finn rubbed his back. “Two hours was torture enough. We got this.”

Jackson got shoulder pats and nudges as the Daddies stepped past him and onto the deck.

“Daddy! Look, I can float!”

“Daddy! Jayme pushed me!”

“I did not!”

“Caleb? Where’s your sun block? You’re already turning red.”

Jackson whimpered. Too much noise.

“Here.” Finn drew Jackson away and out of the kitchen.

The house was cool and quiet the farther from the kitchen and the mayhem out back they got. Michael had gotten full authority to decorate their new home, but they all loved the soft wide couch he’d picked.

Jackson gratefully went into Finn’s lap as Finn pulled him down onto the couch with him.

“It really was your fault,” Finn said. “I told you to stop breaking into their places. I had to punish you.”

“Not with babysitting,” Jackson pleaded. “Never with that.”

“It was probably Mac’s suggestion of ice cream before swimming. They’re all hopped up on sugar and excited to swim in the new pool.”

“Mac is evil!” Jackson declared. “Evil!”

Finn chuckled. “So was your little prank worth it?”

Sort of. It was still funny. The boys had been sending pictures to Jackson of their Daddies finding the googly eyes for a week now. Jackson shrugged.

“I still don’t know how you managed it when I only went to the grocery store. You weren’t even unchained from me that long.”

Jackson had been highly motivated.

“You know this just proves that you need to be with me all the time,” Finn said.
