Kellan slides in behind me, holding my hips tight then gives me what I’ve been missing. “See, my kitty’s missed having her pussy purr, hasn’t she?”

“Yes, oh fuck Kellan, yes,” I cry as he takes me up and up, until I topple over and over, and can’t stay up any longer.

His lips kiss along my neck as he keeps going, my leg thrown over the top of his as he spoons me from behind, his hand over my stomach, as I lay on my side. The second his fingers brush over my clit, I’m done, coming hard until he’s filling me entirely.

We’re barely dressed before the boys are home and I’m thankful that Mom’s here when a gush comes from between my legs as Kellan and I finish putting the boys to bed.

“This is all your fault,” I groan his way as he puts me in the truck to get us to the hospital while Mom stays with the boys. She’s become far more than just a mother-in-law over the last ten years. She’s a friend and sounding board as well as my mom, and an amazing grandma to all our boys.

“Going in and coming out,” he teases, making me laugh, then groan as the contraction hits hard. The hospital is thankfully only twenty-five miles away and we make it before I feel the urge to push, but Kellan doesn’t take a chance with me walking this time. Luke was born just outside the ER’s entrance because we walked from the parking lot rather than him dropping me off.

We laughed about it later—after Kellan spanked my ass upon my all clear for others possibly seeing what was his by doing that.

Twenty minutes after we’re in the room, I give another big push, letting out a low moan as the pressure eases. Kellan’s lips press a kiss onto my temple, his hands holding me tightly with a little shake running through them when we hear the sweet cries of our new baby.

Dr. Meegan lifts the baby up onto my chest, as she’s done with all of our boys, and I press a kiss onto his head, before my eyes flow back down over our new baby and to the missing appendage we were expecting.

“It’s a girl,” Dr. Meegan tells us with a nod, dragging a shocked snort from me.

“The ultrasound…” I begin as Kellan stares down at our baby girl in awe, tears filling his gaze as his hands move to rest on mine on her.

“Apparently was wrong, it’s rare but it does happen,” she says as a little laugh falls from me, tears coming right behind it, and I lift my face to Kellan’s as his lips come down stealing them away, before he drops a kiss onto our little girl’s head.

“We’ve got a girl,” he whispers to me still in awe when we’re both cleaned up and resting. The nurses and doctors having assured us our little girl is completely healthy, simply not the gender we were quite expecting.

“Mom is going to freak out,” I tease, smiling beneath the kiss he gives me, as he brushes my hair from my eyes.

“She’s not the only one. I’m not sure I’m prepared for a girl but give me a few days and our place will be a fortress to keep you and baby girl safe,” he states, pulling a laugh from me thinking he’s joking. The look on his face tells me he’s not, and I shake my head at him, pulling him down for another kiss, because things just became real. As much as my husband protects me, I can only imagine what he’ll do to keep our baby girl safe.

“You can’t shoot anyone, and you can’t put up an electric fence, just saying,” I tease him, before looking down at our baby with a promise. “I’ll make sure your daddy doesn’t run every boy off in the future, sweet girl. Just the ones that aren’t good enough for you.”

“Damn straight,” Kellan agrees, pulling me back into his hold, his arm sliding under mine that’s holding our girl. “We never came up with any girl names, so I guess we’d better start.”

“Noah certainly isn’t going to work,” I muse, my eyes roaming over our girl, until an idea comes to me, and I glance up to him with a grin. “Aurora.”

“You’re my sleeping beauty though,” he argues, with a frown and a little shake to the head. “What about Rachelle Marie, after your mom and mine?” he adds and that makes the tears break free. The last thing they are are angry or sad tears and Kellan knows it as he kisses them away, nodding in understanding at them.

My mom was the whole reason I found him. Not wanting her to thrown away and treated like she was nothing put me in Jonah’s crosshairs, which in turn had me running from him landing at Kellan’s feet. His love is the sweetest thing in the world beyond our babies, and now, I have a piece of him and my mom in our baby girl, and nothing could possibly be better.

“I love you, so much,” I whisper to him, holding onto our girl for a few more minutes as exhaustion starts to creep over me.

“I love you too, baby. Always,” he promises, holding us until I let go of our girl, and he puts her in her bassinette, before pulling me back into his arms, letting me rest.

I’m waking from a nap the next morning when he comes back into the room quietly with our boys and Mom. I smile seeing my little guys and I take Luke when he tries to jump from Kellan’s arms to get to me. He lifts Theo and Thom up to sit on the bed with us, while Henry crawls up onto a chair glancing in at the new baby. Flynn, Bradley, and Brandon crowd in, able to see in from the other side with them all following their dad in height it seems.

Kellan moves behind our three oldest, giving them stern looks when they glance up his way. “I’m going to need your help more now that we’ve got two girls to keep safe.”

“Girls?” the three say together, looking from his back to our baby.

“Say hi to your little sister, Rachelle Marie,” I tell them, watching their eyes grow wide with shock. “She was a surprise to all of us too, but we’re definitely keeping her.”

“You didn’t know?” Mom asks, as Kellan picks Rachelle up to let her hold her.

“Not until we saw her, Dr. Meegan was surprised too. Says it’s rare for there to be a mistake, but it happens. I guess she just wanted to be as much of a shock to us as I was to her daddy, ten years ago,” I add, and Kellan drops a kiss onto my lips that has the older boys groaning.

“Best surprise ever was finding my sleeping beauty there for me to rescue, our little girl definitely comes in second though,” he says, and I can honestly say I’m good with knowing I’m still his number one and will always be. Because he’s my heart and my rock, and I never want to get lost without him there to find me. Not ever.
