“You shouldn’t have done this,” I tell her, looking at the scrambled eggs and bacon. She even sliced strawberries because she knows I love them so much.

“It’s been months, Sum, I’m okay. Remember what you did to me last night?” She giggles and bumps her shoulder against mine. I let her fuck me while she tied me to the bed again, and she came three times, one from riding me, the other by my hands, and the last time by me sucking on her nipples.

I look at the paintings decorating the walls of our bedroom. She couldn’t paint when she first got out of the hospital, but the past two months she’s been taken commissions again. Luckily, she could salvage most of her art in the gallery and went off to sell more. On a hike to Namsan Tower, I confessed I was the one who posted about her painting in the park that made her go viral. I might have stalked her for weeks after I let her go. Each day, I tried to get the courage to confess my love to Storm while I watched her. It took her almost dying for me to get my head out of my ass. If one is leaving first, it’s me, when we’re old and grey. I’ll give my life for her because she owns mine. She owned it the minute she walked into my underground poker joint.

“What?” She beams, eating a strawberry.

I shake my head. “Just thinking about…” I start.

“Last night, or the night before?” she teases, and my cheeks flame in response, recalling what we did when she visited my office before I bury my face against her chest.

“Stop it, Minki.” She giggles, pushing my head away from her breasts.

Storm

“Do you want me to stop?” he asks, while he lifts me up and walks us into his office.

“Someone might come in,” I whisper, but he shakes his head, his long hair falling in front of his eyes.

“They’ll make sure no one enters,” he reassures me, and sits on the couch, letting me straddle him.

I brush his hair out of his face and kiss the tip of his nose. “Why are you taking it slow? I know you want to take what you want, Sum,” I tell him, waggling my brows. “I can feel you pressing against me,” I whisper, and lick his ear.

He grabs my waist, and I watch as his head falls back, his eyes closed in bliss. I run my lips over his jaw, and he hums my name as he spreads his thighs, holding me captive. I nod and shake my head at the same time, hovering above his lap, his hardness teasing me.

“It isn’t enough,” I tell him, running my lips over his temple.

“I know, babe. Because I want it all, but I’m scared…” he begins, not finishing his sentence as he looks away.

“What?” I ask, and place my hands on his shoulders.

“I want you, baby, I want all of you,” he says, pushing my skirt up and pulling his pants and underwear down. “No underwear, you are a naughty kitten.” He grins.

And I cry out when he forces his hips up and impales me on his cock—it hurts so much the way he opens me, and I love every second of it. I missed him being inside me like this. I let my forehead fall against his and a lopsided gummy smile appears on his face.

“I’m keeping you, Storm. The weeks you were in the hospital were hell. I couldn’t focus on anything,” he says, and his voice cracks when he traces his fingers over my cheek.

I kiss his palm and he pulls me toward him, his dark eyes locked on mine.

“I’m better now, you saved me, Sum,” I say, my voice hoarse with emotion.

“No, babe, you did it all on your own. I was the lucky son of a bitch you chose to play a game with one night,” he confesses, and I see the tears in his eyes. The man doesn’t show his emotions, but seeing it now takes my breath away. He truly loves me.

“I love you,” I tell him.

“Don’t…” The words get stuck in his throat. “Don’t leave me, ever,” he whispers. His dick twitches inside me, and I moan.

“Why, baby?” I smile, and kiss the scar next to his mouth.

“Because,” he grunts out, trying to get his anger under control. I can see it in the way his eyes dart around the room before they land on me. He’s trying to find the right words to say but doesn’t know how to say them.

“Because I know I love you. I have loved you ever since you glanced up from your cards and looked right through me. You see me, kitten, all my parts, and you’re not afraid of the man I am. I now know it was always love between us. I may have tried to fake or convince myself I didn’t need you, but I do,” he says, pushing slowly upwards, making me groan his name while I hold onto his shoulders, trying not to lose myself.

“What do you say, babe, will you marry your mafia guy?” he asks, and winks.

“I will, Sum,” I whisper, not even thinking about it, because he is the one, the one I always searched for. “You scare me, and you make me so angry at times, but these last few weeks, I’ve been hurting so much not being able to make love to you. I couldn’t stop thinking about you when we were apart, those three months were one of the hardest periods of my life, and I spent weeks in a hospital bed because of the son of a bitch.”

He laughs and pulls my face toward him, pressing his lips against mine. “Fuck, I was scared there for a while you wouldn’t say yes.”
