Chapter Twenty-Five
Mia
I was in the office early to catch up on some work when I got the feeling that someone was watching me. I looked up and there stood Terry. Man, he looked sexy, I thought as I appraised him.
“Hey, what’s up?” I asked after I realized I was probably staring at him longer than I should have been. The smirk on his face told me I was right about that.
“What’s that look for?” Terry asked.
“Nothing,” I lied.
“Sure,” he teased. “You’re not having second thoughts about what we talked about last night, are you?”
I shook my head. “Nope, I’m good.”
“Okay, good,” he said, making his way into my office, but not before he closed the door. “Why are you here so late?”
Terry sat in front of me, his eyes running over me. It made me a little self-conscious. My hair was tied up in a low bun. I had grown tired of reading the finance reports and having it fall into my face. I wore a black pleated miniskirt with a white blouse that was tied at the side.
“You look like a naughty schoolgirl. Are you wearing tights or knee-high socks?” he asked me. The view of my feet and legs was hidden behind the closed desk.
“What makes you ask me that?” I asked him, confused. “You can’t even see my skirt.”
“I saw you earlier today,” he told me.
I nodded. I hadn’t noticed him today—weird. Normally, I could always feel when Terry’s eyes were on me.
“I saw you from across the building. You were walking with some older gentleman, and he was talking animatedly. Had we not talked last night, I would have been concerned that I wasn’t the only one you fucked at work.”
I shook my head. “No, I’ve only ever done that with you. And I would not like to make that a habit, okay?”
His face fell. I could see the disappointment. Terry leaned forward so his elbows were resting on his knees. “You don’t want to make that a habit? I rather enjoyed it.”
I blushed and he snickered. “I think you did too.” His tone was low and his voice was like velvet. A pool of desire began to form. I wanted him, again. Damn it.
“I might,” I finally conceded, causing his grin to grow even more.
“How much more do you have to do?”
I shrugged. “Nothing too pressing is left. I could technically leave anytime. I just haven’t yet.”
He nodded. Terry stood up and walked around the desk toward me. He looked like a lion stalking its prey in the jungle. I tried to smile, appear cool and collected. But I knew I was failing. I could feel that I was blushing, and if I spoke right now, my voice would be shaking. So I stayed quiet, waiting for him to pounce.
Terry pulled the desk chair away and spun me so I was facing him. “Mia, have you ever made love in your office?”
I blushed even harder at his question. I hadn’t. I hadn’t even been in a relationship since starting this company. But he didn’t need to know that. So I kept my mouth shut.
Terry pushed my knees apart. I opened for him and provided him enough room to stand in between my legs.
“I love this little skirt you have on. It’s so sexy. Totally gives me the hot for teacher vibes,” he smirked.
I kept my eyes locked on his. I knew where this was going, and I was nervous about having sex with him again. We had agreed last night that we would see where things went. Take things as they came. This must mean he’s ready for round two. Might as well, since we already fucked before having that much-needed conversation. This time, though, I wouldn’t be fleeing him afterward. He probably wouldn’t let me go so easily.
Terry lowered himself to the floor in front of me and spoke in a low voice. “I remember so many things about you, Mia. The time we’ve spent together has only reminded me of all of those things.”
On his knees, his grin wicked, he said, “I can smell you already.” Terry began running his hand up the inside of my leg, right up to my sex. I whimpered in anticipation. His finger hooked into my thong and pulled it to the side.
“You’re wet, and I haven’t even touched you yet. I don’t remember you being quite this responsive before,” he teased. “I wonder why that is.”
