“Hot damn, Mia,” Catherine said. “Please tell me you saw the hot-as-fuck look he shot you when he said, ‘come find me.’”
I giggled. “I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t.”
“Someone might be getting some in the office,” Catherine said, and we both burst out into a fit of laughter.
“Well, it might not be the first time,” I admitted.
“I don’t want to know.” Catherine was still laughing, although she pretended to look disgusted at my words.
I flushed. “Are you sure? It’s a pretty good story.”
“Oh, I don’t doubt that it is. But right now, I think I’ll pass. One of these days, I’m taking you up on that drink you keep promising me. We’re getting so sloshed, our men will have to come pick us up. Then, and only then, can you tell me every last detail of all the dirty places you fucked that cowboy.”
I smiled warmly at the woman who was becoming one of my very favorite people. “It’s a deal.”
