Damn that’s a hard question.

“Well Cheri, I’m thirty-five years old now. I’ve never met anyone that I’ve ever been so attracted to on every level. Not only is she sexy as hell, but she calls me out when I need it and she’s smart as hell,” I answered, hoping that covered it all.

Cheri nodded her head as she looked down at the cards in her hands. No doubt they were full of questions. I was hoping this was going to be done soon.

“So, is this love?” Cheri asked, pointing between Alexia and me.

I blew out my breath and let out a nervous laugh. I wanted to be honest and say that I was in love with her, but I had never told Alexia that. I didn’t want that to be said the first time on national television.

“I feel very strongly about my future with Alexia,” I confirmed, “we are just getting started with our journey. I see it happening though,” I finished. I looked down at Alexia, and she nodded her head in agreement.

“I know Alexia, you said you lost your job. I am sure now that you have saddled yourself to this stud you won’t be needing a job,” Cheri said, nodding her head toward the audience and then back over to Alexia to answer.

Alexia opened and closed her mouth to speak, but I’m sure didn’t know how to answer. They were accusing her of being a gold digger in not so many words.

“I don’t know what you’re trying to say Cheri, but I don’t appreciate that,” she answered tersely.

“Alexia, chill,” I whispered to her. She looked up at me and shook her head.

“Alexia will actually be working for me,” I spoke up. That got the audience talking loudly again. Jesus, this is just a big roast. If this continues, we will just be cutting this interview and leaving.

“Not trying to offend, I promise,” Cheri said, raising her hands up. I gave her a warning glare, before looking out at the audience the same.

“Okay, okay let’s move on,” Cheri said, attempting to settle everyone down.

“Yes, let’s do that,” I said as I sat back and put my arm back across the back of the couch.

“Do the two of you plan to start a family someday?” Cheri asked. Jesus Christ, she is not going to quit.

“We haven’t really talked about it,” Alexia interjected, “like Kyle said, we are just starting out our time together. Who knows where the future might take us,” she finished. That satisfied Cheri as she nodded her head. Seemed like a fair answer to me.

“I truly thank you both for coming to talk with us today,” Cheri said, as she nodded toward the audience.

“Thank you, Cheri, for having us,” I said.

“If this doesn’t work out between you, do you think you’ll find another relationship Kyle?” she asked me. Just when I thought we were done.

“There is no if in this equation,” I answered.

“So, you don’t plan on this ending?” Cheri asked. I just shook my head, clenching my jaw.

“I understand what you’re saying. Being that I went public with a relationship wasn’t my first choice,” I said, “having any woman subjected to this type of lifestyle isn’t easy. I just hope Alexia doesn’t think it’s too much for her,” I finished.

“It is quite the life you lead. You’re a mogul in your own right,” Cheri confirmed, “Alexia, sweetie, we hope to see you again,” she finished as she stood and shook both of our hands.

“Thank you, Cheri. I hope to as well,” Alexia answered as we both stood.

I grabbed Alexia’s hand as we waved to the audience.

“Can you give Alexia a kiss for us?” Cheri asked before we could walk off the stage. I looked down to Alexia to make sure this public display would be approved by her, she nodded slightly.

I leaned down, grabbed her chin, and raised it as I placed my lips over hers lightly. She leaned up and wrapped her arms around my neck deepening the kiss. I let it happen a moment before I pulled back. The audience was hooting and hollering, but then started laughing as I pulled away, removing Alexia’s arms. It was too much for our first public outing on live television.

Alexia’s face was red, no doubt from embarrassment. She schooled herself well, as we waved to everyone and walked off the stage.

When we got out of the hallway, Alexia dropped my hand and pulled away from me.

“Al, come on,” I said as she walked ahead of me toward the exit. We didn’t have anything in the dressing room to grab.
