Nico shrugged at Atlas then turned his attention back to me.
“People think we are weakened because ‘the boss’ of the triad has gone missing. As a result, they think that the remaining two, us,” he swept his finger between himself and Atlas, “will spend all our time looking for him, thus leaving our mafia to fall into disarray as we won't be able to hunt and run things at the same time. They are wrong. They got one thing right though.”
I frowned, “What’s that?”
“Atlas and I are gonna hunt down the fuckers that took him.”
“But what about your mafia? Your dealings? Who’s going to make the decisions while you’re busy looking for Luca?”
Atlas shrugged, “The same person who usually runs things. The boss.”
I frowned, “What are you talking about? I thought you said Luca was missing.”
“He is,” Nico said, “But he is the boss that everyone knows about. What they don’t know is that we are a quartet?”
“A quartet?” I mimicked.
“Catalina. Meet Haiden. Our other brother, who rules from the shadows,” Atlas said.
The man standing beside them took a sip of his drink before turning around. He smiled at me. “Hello, Mi Changuito.”
I froze. My heart skipping a beat and my breath catching in my throat.
It was him.
My stalker knight.
