I pull away and search out the child, only to find a horrified mother covering her face in embarrassment. I can't help but laugh as I unhook my feet from around Beau's waist and slide back down until I'm standing on my own. I wave at the little girl before the mother apologizes for her daughter not having a filter.

Beau takes my suitcase and hands me my flowers so he can clasp his hand in mine. Bringing it to his lips, he presses a kiss to it and grins. "Welcome home, baby."

"I can't believe I'm finally here!" I exclaim as we walk out into the warm, bright sunshine.

"How's your mom doing?" Beau asks as he ushers me through the crowds of people.

"Well, she hadn't gotten worse. When I left her, she was sleeping peacefully… they both were."

I decided not to leave while Bain was at work. At least not while Mom was sick, so I left in the early hours this morning while Bain was still with her. It was creepy sneaking through the house at that time and then out to my car. I felt as though I was being watched again, but I never dared look back.

I left a note on my pillow, and as soon as I could turn my phone on once we landed, I noticed all the texts and missed calls from Bain. He had left one voicemail, and I dreaded listening to it, so I didn't. I figured I would wait until I was with Beau.

He squeezes my hand. "We will keep in touch, and if need be, we will go back together if things take a turn."

I smile and nod. It's hard to see Beau as the bully he once was. Looking at him now, you would never believe that he made three years of my life hell. Now, we can't live without each other. I'm determined to live a happy life; it's long overdue, and one I feel is owed to me.

When Beau stops us in front of a black GMC truck, I look at him in surprise. "What? No Lexus or BMW?"

He rolls his eyes and opens the passenger door for me. "Marines don't drive those kinds of vehicles," he states, helping me up and slapping my ass as he does.

I giggle. "Mm, I'm anxious to see how you drive this monster."

"Fast and hard, baby…just like I do you." He winks and shuts my door, grinning.

I wait until he hops into the driver's seat. "You better be ready to do just that when we get home, mister!"

The heated look he gives me tells me everything I need to know. I'm going to get just that…and then some. I bite my lower lip and squeeze my thighs together as I bring my seatbelt across my chest. I'm hoping it doesn't take long to get to our new place because I'm not sure how long I can hold out before jumping Beau and screwing his brains out.

Clearing my throat, I decide to try and take my mind off the throbbing between my legs. "So, have you seen the apartment yet?"

"I have. It's not too bad for a Marine base, pretty nice, actually." When he smiles at me, it lights his face up, and suddenly, it's hard to breathe. He's so fucking gorgeous.

We pull up to a massive building that looks suspiciously like a courthouse. "Um, did they remodel an old courthouse into apartments for their soldiers?"

Beau laughs. "No, but this stop is necessary in order for me to live outside of the barracks."

"Oh? What exactly is it that you have to do here?" I wait as he jumps out and comes around to help me out.

With my feet on the ground and his hand resting on my hips, he gazes into my eyes. "I have to marry the love of my life, of course."

He dips his head and takes my lips in another heated kiss. I swear, I'm so glad he holds onto me whenever he kisses me because my knees buckle every damn time. I can't believe we are doing this! Beau Huntley is going to marry me, and surprisingly, I can't wait to say yes.

"By the power vested in me by the state of California, I now pronounce you husband and wife." The Judge finalizes the ceremony, and Beau grabs me up and kisses me, heatedly, I might add, right in front of the Judge and his secretary.

Pulling away, he presses his forehead against mine. "I love you, Ryan Huntley."

He says it with so much emotion that tears sting my eyes. "I love you, too, my husband."

We kiss again, but only briefly, before we leave the Judge's chamber. We stop at the secretary's desk to get instructions about our marriage certificate. "Here is a number to call if you do not receive your certificate within thirty days." She grins at us. "Be happy, you two, and remember, never go to bed angry with one another and always kiss each other goodnight."

It's sweet of her to give us this advice, and it saddens me a bit that my mother or father weren't here to share this day with me. Beau senses my mood change and gets my attention by squeezing my hand. I smile at him to let him know I'm okay. I really am. It's hard to believe that we did it. I haven't even finished high school yet, and I'm already married.

When we get back to the truck, Beau swings me up into his arms, making me squeal in delight. He places me on the seat and takes my mouth once again. I never tire of feeling his lips on mine. Pulling away slowly, he smiles, showing off his dimples.

"Let's go home, Mrs. Huntley."

My new title falling from his lips brings a huge smile, and I giggle. "How fast can you get us there?"
