Billie slides in after me, slamming the door shut.

Hadley nudges me with her elbow. “After all, it’s been a while since we saw you last. You’re going to have to tell me how things are going. I could use a little entertainment.”

Jovan twists in his seat to look back at me. “You know the two of them are never going to leave you alone. Not unless you tell them about your wife.”

I sigh and lean back in the seat as we pull away from the airport. “Why do we need to talk about Zoe?”

Alessio glances in the mirror. “Because the pair of them have been talking about nothing else since Jovan and Hadley landed here last night. I have to say, I’m a little disappointed you didn’t bring her with you. I was looking forward to meeting her.”

“You’ll get to meet her eventually.”

I glare at Billie as she jabs her finger into my shoulder. “What the hell was that for?”

“You should have brought her to meet me now. I help you with girl advice. That means that I should get to meet Zoe before your real wedding.”

I bite back the smile that tries to curve the corner of my mouth. “And what makes you think that there’s going to be another wedding? I already married her once.”

Billie glares at me as Hadley starts immediately protesting. The pair of them start to ramble about how we should be getting married in the wedding of our dreams instead of a secret event in the dead of night.

Jovan and Alessio laugh in the front seat, neither of them helping.

“You have to ask her to marry you properly this time,” Billie says, her tone stern as she crosses her arms. “You need to get down on one knee and ask her to marry you. Tell her how much you love her.”

Hadley nods. “And then you have to help her plan the wedding. Don’t just sit there and ask her to do it. It’s your wedding too, and she’ll love you even more for it. Make sure she knows that getting married matters to you too.”

I toss my hands up in the air. “I never said that we would be having another wedding.”

“To be fair,” Jovan says, his smirk growing wider. “You should probably give her the wedding of her dreams. Women like that sort of thing. They dream about tit. It’s not fair to rob her of that.”

As I run my hands down my face, I know that they're right.

I should do something for Zoe. I should give us the fresh start at a marriage filled with love. She might want that.

If she does want a dream wedding, then I’m going to do everything in my power to give it to her.

“I’m going to be your best man.” Billie says it with a tone that lets me know her decision is final.

With a scoff, I shake my head. “I can’t believe that you just decided to be my best man. Just like that. What if I want someone else to be my best man?”

Billie smiles and crosses one leg over the other, invading more of my personal space.

I swear, she only does it because she knows it bothers me.

The tip of her toe taps against my shin as she moves her foot along with the beat of the song.

“Fine!” I push her foot away from me. “You can be my best man. Just stop driving me insane.”

The car bursts into laughter as we park in front of Billie and Alessio’s house.

Billie and Hadley get out of the SUV, taking off for the front door while I sit with Jovan and Alessio.

As much as I enjoy spending time with the group, this isn’t a social call.

“Want to go to my office and talk business, or do you want to get settled in first?” Alessio asks as we get out.

The rain soaks through my clothes as I nod and grab my bag from the car. “We may as well get business out of the way first. That’s why I’m here.”

The three of us head into the house and down the hall to Alessio’s office. I drop my bag in the corner before taking a seat in one of the chairs.
