I try to shake the thoughts from my mind as I put away my phone and enter the dessert bar.

Zoe follows the host to a small table in the back.

The dim room is lit with warm toned lights. The cozy atmosphere makes it easy to settle into the seat across from her and let go of everything else on my mind.

A few minutes after sitting down and placing our order, two slices of cobbler and two whiskey sours appear.

Zoe sips her drink before digging into the dessert.

“This is the best peach cobbler I’ve had in a long time,” she says, closing her eyes before taking another bite. “I think I’ve died and gone to heaven.”

I chuckle and sip my drink. “There is no way that the pie is that good.”

Zoe’s eyes fly open, and she stabs her fork in the direction of my cobbler. “Try the pie before you diss the pie.”

I take a piece and shove it in my mouth, flavors bursting on my tongue. “You’re right. It’s amazing. I wouldn’t say that it’s died and gone to heaven worthy, but it’s a pretty good pie.”

She scoffs, amusement dancing in her eyes. “You wouldn’t know a good dessert if it bit you in the ass.”

“Now we’re going to be rude?” I take another sip of my drink. “You had a great show tonight.”

“Even though you’re still worried about taking me out to perform?”

I nod. “Even though I’m terrified that taking you out to the bars is going to get us in trouble. I don’t want to lose you, Zoe.”

The smile on her face drops as she reaches out and takes my hand. “I’m not going anywhere. You don’t have to worry about losing me.”

Except if I consider the lifetime we’re going to have together, all I can do is worry about her.

Christian’s arms wrap tighter around me as I start to wake up.

I open my eyes and stare at the shadows cast on his face from the dim light streaming through the cracks in the curtains.

He sighs in his sleep, his hand sliding along my hip.

I smile as I reach up to trace one of the shadows on his cheek.

His eyes flutter open as he yawns.

My heart pounds as I look at him, heat racing to my core.

Last night was fun, but I’m still not satisfied. After we got home from dessert, we lost ourselves in each other. I can still taste the whiskey on my lips as I wet my bottom lip.

“It’s too early,” Christian says, his voice husky. “Go back to sleep.”

Grinning, I reach between us where his hardened cock is pressing against my thigh. “It doesn’t really seem like you think it’s too early to be awake.”

He smirks and tilts his hips forward, pressing his cock harder into my hand.

I squeeze it, taking my time sliding my hand up and down his length.

His silky skin is hot in my palm as I run my thumb over the head.

“You should be tired right now.” he watches me through hooded eyes as I continue to stroke his cock. “I kept you up most of the night.”
