I was still thinking about everything when the guys strolled over, pushing the door open. I sucked in a breath as they studied me, waiting until the woman had paid and left. I swallowed my nerves when they approached me, looking like goddamn supermodels.

“Lizzie!” Tye pulled me into his arms as Zeus studied me in the way only he could, like I was edible.

“Hey,” I whispered, burying my head into Tye’s chest as Zeus laced his fingers through mine. It was like nothing had changed.

“You smell so damn good,” I told Tye as Zeus tugged me away from him.

“I smell better.”

Zeus dropped his lips to mine, and instantly, our tongues rolled against one another, and Tye groaned.

“We’re not even here for five seconds, and you’re making out.”

Zeus released me, shaking his head. “She does something to me.”

I felt lightheaded, and Tye seemed to notice.

“You okay, babe?”

“Just dizzy. I’ve not eaten much,” I confessed as Tye frowned.

“I have that effect on people, don’t I, Tye?” Zeus winked, slapping my butt. “Let’s go and grab some food. Can you lock this place up?”

Zeus glanced around as I shook my head feebly.

“No, there’s only me here.”

Tye sighed, shoving his hands in his pockets. Zeus scanned the street from the window before heading to the door.

“I spot a hot dog stand. I’ll be back.”

Zeus disappeared as Tye turned to me, smiling at me warmly.

“You okay, beautiful?”

His voice soothed my frayed nerves, and before I knew it, I was in tears.

“Ah, shit, come here.”

Tye pulled me into his arms, and I cried, releasing all the emotion I thought I’d cried out. It had been hard going back to my parent’s house, explaining that Brandon and I had broken up. Mom thought I was pining for him for the past couple of months or so, but it wasn’t Brandon I missed.

It was Reign. My heart ached at the thought of his lips on mine, the way he’d look at me like he loved me. How heartbroken he was when I went to AJ, how it destroyed us. How he looked when I left his house.

“I’m assuming you’ve come for your truck?” I whispered, wiping my eyes.

“Girl, you can keep the truck. I rode here with Zeus on the bike, so…” Tye wiggled his eyebrows, and I laughed through my tears, feeling better already for being around him.

“Lizzie, I got you one plain, one with onions, and one with everything.” Zeus pushed the door open, holding nine hot dogs. “Tye, I got you three with everything.”

“And you got three?” Tye laughed, taking the food from him. He handed one to me, and I ate it gratefully, moaning as the onions melted in my mouth.

“Plus, whatever Lizzie doesn’t eat.” Zeus nodded to me as I demolished my first hot dog, reaching out for a second without thinking.

“Good girl, eat.”

We ate silently, and I was grateful that no customers entered the shop.

“Lizzie, we’re here to talk about Reign,” Tye said, wiping the tomato ketchup from his mouth.
