“You should feel better when the placenta is formed.”

“I know.” I yawned, burying my head in Reign’s chest. “I’m tired of being tired.”

Reign stroked my back, one hand caressing my stomach as he kissed my head repeatedly. “I’ll carry you around the house if I have to.”

Damn, I loved my alpha man.

While we’d been away, he’d grown his hair and beard and reminded me of a sexy caveman. My hair had grown, too, and Reign loved it longer, thoroughly enjoying tugging it around in the bedroom. His eyes met mine when I looked up at him, and he cupped my face, kissing my lips softly.

“You’re so beautiful, baby,” he murmured as Tye and Zeus made their way back to the sofa.

Since I was pregnant, neither Reign nor I wanted to bring Zeus and Tye into our bed. We still wanted the fun nights, but I didn’t want to while our baby grew within me. Reign seemed relieved, and we grew even closer.

We were so in love.

Tye and Zeus still had their ‘on/off thing’ going on, but we had a sneaking suspicion neither of them was seeing anyone else. The thought of them being officially together was almost like a dream come true, but Zeus would only commit in his own time, if at all.

Either way, they couldn’t wait to be Uncles.

“When our baby arrives, we’ll have so much spare time.” Reign chuckled as Zeus and Tye argued over the baby’s name. “We’ll have time to make more.”

His words released a shiver that swept through my body like a tidal wave, and Reign smirked.

“Now you’re thinking about it, aren’t you?”

“Mmm,” I mumbled, stretching up to kiss him. A yawn took over, and Reign laughed, lacing his fingers with mine.

“Rest, Lizzie.”

So I did. As I began to nod off, I thanked my lucky stars and any Gods I could think of that I had not only Reign but also Tye and Zeus in my life.

AJ would always make me feel that glimmer of terror, but I knew he’d never leave prison, not with his list of crimes. The police had uncovered two more murders committed the year before I’d met Reign.

I shuddered again; the reality that I’d almost been the victim of a murderer was too much to bear. I had a lucky escape.

“Stop thinking about AJ.”

Reign’s grip tightened on my shoulder, and I nodded, focusing on breathing as the therapist had told me. It will always be there in my memories. It would always be something I had to live with — But that didn’t mean I should suffer. I had my own life now and a new one on the way.

Tye looked over and caught my eye, giving me a wink before turning back to Zeus, who had his head buried in the baby book, and I couldn’t help but smile.

I’m one lucky girl.

THE END
