Page 85 of That Geeky Feeling

“Of course,” he says, his finger finally reaching my nipple and sending shivers through me all over again. “The reason I ask is because I know I’m slammed with work tomorrow and Wednesday, then I go up to my parents’ on Thursday to help with the wedding prep for the weekend.”

“That’s what you were thinking about while we were doing all that?” I give him a playful pat on his firm backside. “And you give me a hard time for planning.”

“No. I thought about it immediately afterward.” He dips his head and runs his tongue in a quick circle around my nipple. “Anyway, seeing as I’m not free all week, and if you think this is rushing it, that’s totally fine, I completely understand.” He pushes a strand of hair off my sticky forehead. “But would you like to come to Owen’s wedding on Saturday?”

My stomach hitches. We’re miles away from home, in an anonymous hotel room in an anonymous town. But he’s brought up reality. A reality that seems to have taken a giant leap forward.

“We haven’t even tried being together in secret yet, never mind in front of your family.” I run my fingers along the path of a vein in one of those ridiculously sexy forearms.

“No one would know,” he says. “Well, as long as no one notices the giant erection in my pants every time I look at you.” He rocks his hips into me. “I’d just say I invited you as a thank-you for all your work on the hub.”

It might be nice. And it would give me a chance to see what I might be getting myself into, seeing as they’re such a close family.

There is one giant problem, though.

“But what about Max? If he finds out, I’m screwed.”

“He thought the idea of you being interested in me was so unlikely he laughed. So he’ll never guess. And I’ll have some wedding stuff to do, so we couldn’t be together the whole time anyway.”

“Are you the best man?”

“Nope. Owen has a best woman. His sister.”

“That’s fantastic.”

“I’ll take that as a yes, then.” He dots his lips against mine in a flutter of gentle kisses.

How do I turn down a man who’s already stirred previously unknown emotions in me and has now given me the longest, most core-rocking orgasm of my life?

“I guess if every time Max is around I make sure I’m on the opposite side of the room from you, it might be okay.” I trace the outline of his strong shoulder.

“Deal.” He eases himself out of me and lies across my belly as he reaches down to the floor to get his phone out of his jeans pocket. “I’m starving. But let’s forget the restaurant and order takeout.” Pulling himself back up, he sticks out his tongue and circles it around my belly button. “Because I want to stay here and do that all over again. This time, though, way slower.”

I can’t think of anything better.

But how am I supposed to make this work? I don’t have a plan for any of this.

Hope you had a good day and got caught up on stuff.

CHARLOTTE (06:25 PM)

Max said I kept yawning. Had to concentrate on looking perky and not like I’d barely slept…

ELLIOT (06:26 PM)

You did get a nap on the plane.

CHARLOTTE (06:26 PM)

Does your jacket need dry cleaning because of the shoulder drool?
