I feel like the most special girl in the world as he singles me out, blowing me a kiss as he approaches. I love him in his hockey gear. His wavy hair curling out of his helmet, the big bulky pads making his broad shoulders look even larger, and the way he glides so effortlessly like he was born to be on skates.

Just as he arrives, some big nasty bully from the other team slams his shoulder into him, sending him colliding into the boards. They shake in front of me, but my man stays on his feet.

“Hey!” I scream, wanting to climb the glass and take care of this prick myself.

But the Hyenas have someone else to do their dirty work…

Tucker McKinstry.

Violence is his art and this brute is Van Gogh.

The crowd gets even more excited as Tucker leaps over the boards. He tosses his gloves on the ice while charging over with a brutal intensity in his eyes that gives me shivers.

The other players don’t even try to stop him. They’re all very aware of his savage reputation and they don’t want to be featured on tonight’s highlights getting their asses kicked.

“Leave him alone!” I shout as the bully grabs Sebastian’s jersey right in front of me. If this glass wasn’t here I’d be throwing punches myself.

Sebastian gives me a wink as Tucker comes charging over with crazy eyes.

The bully sees an even bigger bully coming and lets my man go. He drops his gloves and squares up, but it doesn’t matter. Tucker comes flying in with a haymaker of a right hook. It slams into the guy’s jaw. I can hear the crunching from here before he flies into the glass panels in front of me, making them shake violently.

Tucker keeps going, landing about nine or ten more bombs before four refs are able to pull him off.

The crowd erupts as he’s pulled to the penalty box and shoved inside.

There’s never been so much excitement in this town for their hockey team. The arena is sold out for the first time in ten years and it’s bumping with energy. The Hyenas have been reborn. I know that Sebastian is going to bring them to new heights. He’s going to lead them to victory because he’s a winner and that’s what winners do.

Sebastian blows me another kiss as he skates away. My eyes never leave him. I love him so much.

The past two months have been hectic as hell, but in the best possible way.

Mr. Seinfeld agreed to let me open the new branch in San Antonio since I had a whole roster of rich players to get the business going with. I brought our bubbly receptionist Jane to help me get started, and although Eddie asked me a gazillion times to bring him, I left him back in Colorado.

My first client is Tucker McKinstry. We’re about to start work redoing the closets in the mansion he just purchased. I’m heading there with Jane tomorrow to get started.

I got rid of my apartment and moved in with Sebastian. We bought a new place (well, I put down five grand and he put down the remaining six million, nine hundred and ninety-five thousand, but who’s counting?). It’s a beautiful mansion with an in-ground pool, private grounds, and enough shelf space for ten Stoney Cups.

I look up at the scoreboard as the game gets back on track. One - Zero.

The first goal of many for my man.

The new official Hyenas dynasty has started!

I feel like my insides are vibrating with excitement as I wait outside the locker room after the game.

We won four to one. Sebastian scored three goals and the rookie, Austin Gambill, scored one. He was impressive out there too. He’s going to be a big part of the team.

I twirl my engagement ring on my finger as I stare at the door, waiting for it to open. I’m surrounded by other wives, assistants, agents, and publicists. The press is waiting on the other side in a roped-off area.

It’s my first time back here and it’s exciting. Everyone keeps looking at me. I guess some of Sebastian’s star power is rubbing off onto me.

The door swings open and he’s the first one out. My heart skips when he looks right at me with those beautiful blue eyes.

His jersey and pads are off, but he still has his hockey pants and skates on as he hurries over with a huge smile on his face.

He charges right up to me and swallows me in a warm hug. I breathe in his musky masculine scent, loving the way it sparks a fire in my core. I can’t wait to get this man home.

“I have to go shower,” he whispers in my ear. “But I needed to see you first.”
