She squeaked, so outraged she couldn’t speak for a second. Maybe that was the key. Keep her spluttering with rage so she couldn’t talk.

I headed to our room and looked around for a restraint. I had a couple of belts packed at the top of my bag.Perfect.The headboards of the beds had wooden rungs. Sometimes the stars aligned just right.

I threw her down on her bed and reached for one of her wrists. She fought me, of course, but she was no match. I looped the belt around her wrist and tied it just tight enough that she wouldn’t be able to get free. Her mouth hung open, and she stared at me in horror.

“You’ve fucking lost it, Anderson. You can’t just tie me up in here – I won’t allow it,” she ground out.

She scratched at my face with her other hand. I fought to capture it, but she held back, clearly scared to touch my scar. Her weakness was my advantage, and I managed to restrain her other hand. We were both panting by the time I sat back, leaving Eve tied to the headboard by both hands.

“You’re a psycho. You’ve gone nuts,” she accused, glaring at me with wild eyes.

I stood and smoothed my hair back. My cock was hard as hell, and if she happened to glance down, she’d see it tenting my sports shorts. I didn’t care. I had nothing to hide from Eve. She’d seen the worst of me, and only ever that. I wasn’t going to spare her a thing.

As if my thoughts had made it happen, her dark eyes slid down, and her gaze fastened on my hard-on. Ignoring her, I went to my bag and hunted through it. Finding a rare tie, brought for fancy sponsorship dinners the team might have to attend, I turned back to her.

“Did tying me up turn you on, pervert?” she goaded as I got closer.

I merely shrugged. “So what if it did?” I let my eyes wander down her body, sublimely prone beneath me. Her plaid shirt had fallen open in our struggle, and her nipples were poking like hard little buds through her thin camisole beneath. I couldn’t stop myself reaching out to lightly pinch one needy little point.

‘Besides, it looks like I’m not the only one.”

Her lip curled back. “Did they accidentally damage your brain while you were away in New York? You’re unhinged.”

New York?“Unhinged, vengeful…whatever.”

“You can’t keep me here. I’ll scream,” she threatened.

I nodded. “I’d expect nothing less. We’ll talk later when you’ve calmed down.”

I grabbed the tie and got it around her head before she managed to scream.

“That looks good on you, Evie,” I said when I sat back and took in the sight of her gagged with my red silk tie.

Her eyes were burning with anger, and I enjoyed the fire. Just like old times. I leaned in and stoked the blaze.

“Almost as good as you looked with your mouth stuffed with my fingers. Take it easy. I’ll check in on you in a bit.”

With a whistle designed to piss Eve off even more, and a jaunt to my step that had been absent all summer, I made for the door.

I gave her a few hours. Lily came by with Cayden and Marcus to drop off Eve’s suitcase and another box. I took them from her and told her I’d make sure she got them. I lied and told her she’d gone to check out the campus. Lily left, and I waited until Marcus and Cayden had gone to organize their stuff before unlocking my door and going inside.

She was right where I’d left her, and her expression had barely changed. Maybe she was madder now than before. I had a glass of water for her.

“Thirsty?” I asked.

She glowered at me and didn’t bother nodding or shaking her head.

“I’ll take that as a no.”

While I’d been giving her time to cool off, I’d gone for a run while letting my mind chew over the thought of Eve living with me.

I sat on the edge of the bed beside her. “So, here’s what we’re going to do.”

Her dark eyebrows scrunched together, and she turned her head away, like she was refusing to listen. I tutted and gripped her chin, pulling her face back toward me.

“Don’t be rude, Cinderella. Listen when I talk, if you want off this bed anytime soon.”

She mumbled something under the gag, and I could tell it was highly uncomplimentary. Not that I cared. No one could ever hate me as much as I hated myself.
