My words have Domino pausing his tantrum fit to stare at me like I’ve unlocked Pandora’s box. If it wasn’t for the ringtone melody cutting through the moment of silence, I would have thought I’d said something crazy.

It’s Domino’s phone that’s ringing.

“Leighton speaking.” He’s eyeing me, still reeling off that anger for me adding Jr. to the end of his surname—I regret nothing—but then he’s frowning deeply while his eyes drill into me.

Uh oh.

“Hmm? You said two hundred and fifty thousand dollars was charged to my card this morning, and you wanted to confirm it was approved by me?”

The way I focus on my green smoothie, sucking through the clear straw until there’s literally nothing else to suck, has Ares giving me an intrigued ‘you’re dead’ look while Zander is trying hard not to lose it in laughter.

Yeah. This morning’s act of revenge was a bad idea.

“Yes. That was just my Ruthless Maiden throwing a tantrum. Let the charges go through.” He proceeds to talk in Russian before hanging up, leaving me to slurp the fucking air while I’m glaring back at him.

“Spend more. I enjoy the sight of your furious gaze when you throw a tantrum. Especially at the dinner table.”

“Breakfast table,” I huff and lean back into my seat. “Would vomit if I had to face another agonizing dinner with your presence. Breakfast is enough.”

“Don’t tempt me in making your life miserable, Iva,” Domino warns and opens his hand. “Card back.”

“Thought you wanted me to spend more?” I taunt, but I’m tugging the metal card out of my bra and tossing it across thetable, aiming perfectly so it lands right into his bowl of ‘fancy’ oatmeal.

I know from the snickers that seem to come from two spots in the room that Ares isn’t the only Albrecht on the verge of laughing.

Before Domino can say anything, another card is in my view.

“Huh?” I blink a few times, acknowledging the black AMEX card.

With my name on it?

My eyes go wide as I lean in to take the details of the card that says Gemini Ivanka Prescott at the bottom left corner.

“Came in this morning. I picked it up after I dropped you at the mall to do some damage after that tedious five o’clock workout with the fiend over there,” Zander reveals. “Truthfully, I just wanted my card to be chosen for your venomous spending.”

I give him a side glance that prompts a devious smile.

“Admit it. You love spending your Ruthless Kings’ money,” he teases with a wink.

With a pout of my lips, I steal the card from his grasp and slip it into my bra, where I’d taken Dom’s card from.

“I do. Reminds you fuckers I’m an expensive bitch,” I huff.

“Should I ask why you have a card in your bra?”

“T-shirts at the dinner table don’t have pockets,” I voice the obvious.

“Cause you’re not wearing ours,” Ares notes and points between him and Dom. “You should widen your collection.”

“And whose fault is that?” I question back with a bit of sass as my hip moves out a bit, and I cross my arms over my chest. When they’re more focused on my breasts, I roll my eyes. “I’m going to change.”

“You’re not going anywhere,” Domino grumbles. “You’re off school for a week. Doctor’s orders.”

“Not going to school,” I huff. “Ares invited me to his photoshoot.”

“Since when?” Domino demands.

“Since this morning,” Ares replies. “After Defiant Canary came back with Zander from their rebellious shopping spree.
