I hear a sigh, then, "Okay. Well, she's been in here all night, and she's still recovering from a punctured lung I spent seven fucking hours repairing. She nearly fucking died because my main focus was Smokey. If he wakes up and sees she's not looking after herself, he'll fucking kill me for that alone."

I feel a weight lifted off my side as Momma rasps, "You scared her, Doc."
He sighs. "I know I did, but she needed to hear the reality of the situation. He was hit twice in the head by a bat, Momma Rose. If he wakes up, there is a high chance he may not remember her."

Snake cuts him off. "I know that Cherrie deserved her ending, but Rose not only knocked out Cannon, who was on watch at the outhouse with God knows what injection, but she smashed Cherrie's head in with a bat, killing her. We both know Smokey would have wanted to torture her."

I hear another sigh. "Just…go easy on her, please. Her son is in a fucking coma, and Liv, fuck, she's in a fucking state right now, and Rose is having to watch a woman she now sees as family slowly fade away. She's struggling, Snake, and the fact that she killed Kallie to save Smokey…."
