I cup his face. “Will you come with me? We can make new memories in Spain. Besides, I need to get my things.”

His eyes soften. “You’re staying in New Onyx?”

“Rogue vampires couldn’t tear me away.”

“Thank the gods.”

I squeeze his hands. “I… I wasn’t a good man all these years apart.”

His eyes soften.

“But I’ve decided that it’s all in the past now, like yours is, and we can just move on and be who we are now.”

“I love you the same.” He cups my cheek. “Besides, if you need an outlet for your bloodlust, there’s plenty in New Onyx.”

He kisses me hard, and just as it turns heated, we’re interrupted by a rush of energy flowing through the walls.

“Oh,” Yves says. “Save that for me. I have another surprise for you.”

“Now?” I rub my aching cock. “First a fresh meal, a bath in our maker’s blood, and now more? You’re asking me to be superhuman.”

Yves chuckles. “It’s worth it. Come.”

After a rinsing briefly and getting dressed, I follow Yves out of his unit into the common area, where once again, I’m left speechless.

His brothers are there with their mates, Viv and Viper, Hale, Tiago, and Hemsley.

“What is this?”

Syn steps forward. “This is your official welcome to the House of Orpheus.”

My heart stutters in my chest as I look at Yves.

“Since you’ve arrived, we’ve seen the change we always hoped for in our maker,” Midnight says.

“All we wanted for Yves was the love he deserved,” Eros says.

“And you brought that,” Raphael says. “We’re forever grateful that fate blessed our family the way she did.”

“And we wanted you to know,” Thorn starts, “That not only are you welcome here, you are one of us. Yves is our number one, and we rejoice that he has you to love for eternity.”

“So we’re having a little party,” Hale says as Hemsley starts passing out goblets.

Yves takes his glass and turns to me. “You already know the love that lives in my heart for you. It was always you, and it always will be. I love you, Dami.”

If I could cry, I’m sure the tears would flow. “I…” I have to pause to clear my throat as my voice cracks. “I haven’t had a family since Hadrian tore ours apart. I could never find the right fit. Your acceptance of me means the world. I cannot wait for our future to begin.”

“It already has,” Yves says.

Thorn lifts his glass. “Long live the House of Orpheus.”

As the others toast us, Yves and I fall together in a kiss that both heals the past and promises the future. I’ve finally found my home, and it’s here with Yves.

It was always Yves.
