“I hear our boy’s feet pattering,” Theo suddenly murmured, making me jerk in surprise.

I stopped my movements, straining my ears. And sure enough, I could faintly hear Noah’s light steps making their way down the hall toward our room. By the sounds of it, Thomas wasn’t too far behind.

“Wonder what’s wrong,” I murmured. Sometimes we all slept in one bed, but most of the time, I slept with Theo in our room, and Noah slept with Thomas in theirs. Sometimes, we would even switch. But it was extremely rare for one of us to join the other in bed in the middle of the night.

Which meant something was wrong.

The door creaked open, and Noah slipped in. He was wearing his onesie. I quickly sat up, every part of me on alert. The onesie meant he needed to feel safe and wanted comfort. Something had definitely happened.

“Come here,” I rumbled. Theo moved over on the bed, and Noah crawled up between us. He laid on his side, facing me. Theo curled his body around Noah’s, and silently, Thomas settled behind me, his worried gaze resting on our sweet boy. “What happened?” I gently asked as I laid back down. I grasped his hands in mine, linking our fingers together. Thomas draped an arm over me and rested his hand on Noah’s hip.

“I had a bad dream,” Noah mumbled, his eyes closing. “You were gone.”

I swallowed thickly. “I was gone?” I asked for clarification.

Noah nodded. Theo nuzzled his hair. “Danny’s not going anywhere, sweet boy,” Theo assured him. “Over my dead body will he go anywhere, you hear me?”

“Theo is right,” I told Noah. “I made you a promise years ago. I promised you that you would always have me, and I have no intentions of breaking that promise.”

He relaxed a little at my words. I brushed my lips to his forehead. “We’re all in this together, you hear me? None of us will break what we have. You never have to be afraid of losing that, no matter what your subconscious mind might conjure. We’re always going to be here.”

He snuggled closer to me. I wound my arms around him, my hand coming up to cradle the back of his head before I tugged his hood up. Theo met my eyes over his head, and I gave him a small smile. Theo then moved even closer, and we squished Noah between us.

Thomas brushed a kiss to the back of my head. “All he wanted was you,” Thomas told me quietly. “I’m sorry if we disturbed you two.”

I shook my head. “He is always our number one priority,” I told Thomas. I knew Noah could hear me, but I didn’t care. “I don’t give a fuck if Theo is fucking me so good, I’m fucking delirious. If he needs me, bring him to me.”

Theo nodded in agreement. “Noah is first.”

My eyes met Theo’s again, my heart clenching in my chest. I knew what that took for him to say. He didn’t want to put anyone before me. But he knew that Noah would always be my first priority.

“You get it finally?” I rasped, my voice thick with emotion.

Theo nodded. His arm came up, and he cradled my cheek in his large palm. “I finally understand, baby boy.”

I turned my head and pressed a kiss to his palm, hoping I could convey everything I couldn’t put into words through that small kiss. One look at Theo told me I had.

“You’re still a priority for us,” Thomas said softly.

I turned my head to smile at Thomas. He leaned over me and pressed a kiss to my lips. I softly moaned when he coaxed my lips apart, sliding his tongue with mine. I shivered when his hand ran down my side until he could grasp my hip.

“I’m a little nauseous from the dream, so if you rock the bed too much, I might throw up,” Noah suddenly warned us.

I chuckled and turned my head to look at him. “Come here, baby.” I opened my arm again, and he settled back against me, pressing a kiss to my throat. I sighed, tangling my legs with his. “I’m here,” I whispered. “Never going anywhere.”

He pressed his palm over my heart, and it skipped a beat. Just for him.
