Scottie’s body lurched up, and his scream rented the air, a scalding eruption of his climax splattering our chests and stomachs. The sight—the incredibly tight heat—of him coming beneath me sent me crashing into my release. With a groan, I emptied myself inside him.

Slowly the world stopped spinning. Breathing hard, I slid out of Scottie and licked up the stream of cum on his chest. I gently sucked his cock clean, then lapped the dripping cum from his ass. I wasn’t ready to stop touching him yet. I really couldn’t get enough of him.

Too soon there was nothing left. I placed kisses on his thighs, then lay between his legs with my head on his stomach. Scottie brushed the strands of my hair between his fingers. We recuperated in silence for a long time before Scottie nudged me.

“I have to go to the bathroom.”

I shifted off him and allowed him to roll off the bed. His legs almost gave out, and his face reddened. I chuckled as he disappeared into the bathroom. He was right. He had a jiggle in the right places, like that sexy rear end of his.

“Shit.” I scrambled off the bed and groaned. My muscles were strained from riding Scottie’s ass. This had definitely been the longest we’d had sex. Almost an hour. Not that I was complaining.

I hurried out into the hall to the linen closet. Earlier, I’d had to dissuade Scottie from entering when he’d wanted to change the sheets, reminding him we would only be dripping cum on them later anyway. We never remembered to put down a towel.

I retrieved the paper flower bouquet and returned to the bedroom, where I placed it in the center of the bed next to me.

Scottie walked in naked, having discarded the harness. He climbed on top of the bed and shifted closer to me.

“What’s this?” he asked.

“It’s a bouquet.”

“It’s paper. Like a lot of paper.”

“A hundred and eleven, to be exact.”

“Why so many?”

“Just take one out. Wait.” I took up his glasses from the bedside table and placed them on his face. “Now, take one out.”

“Okay.” Scottie tugged at one of the rolled-up papers and carefully broke the seal. His brow furrowed in concentration, and he ran his tongue over his braces. He gasped, dropping the paper and raising his head. “Griff, you didn’t.” He gestured at the bouquet. “Is that all of them?”

I grinned. “Yes. All one hundred and eleven letters you sent me in prison.”

“I can’t believe you kept them.”

“I did.”

“Wait, I have something to show you.” He hopped off the bed, snagged my shirt from the floor, and shrugged into it. Scottie disappeared into the closet, searching around for a few minutes, then returned with a locker box. He placed it on the bed, entered the code, and opened the box. From inside, he took a stack of letters tied together in a pretty pink bow.

“You saved yours,” I said.

“Of course.” He climbed back onto the bed. “At first, I did it in case I ever came clean to Jay and he got curious, but when the letters turned personal, they were all for me.”

“You know what? We should read them. You read one of yours, and I’ll read one of mine.”

“I love that.”

I padded the pillows against the headboard. Scottie snuggled up next to me, pulled the sheets over his legs, and picked up the letter he’d taken out earlier. “I’ll go first.”

As I listened to him, warmth radiated through my chest. My former self would have looked at me now and called me a sellout. But I’d never felt such quiet strength as I did with Scottie’s body pressed against mine and the scent of our sex filling my nostrils as we took a walk down memory lane and how we started.

I hadn’t realized it back then, but we had already been setting the stage for us with these letters.

SCOTTIE

Despite knowing I was doing the right thing, I was uneasy as I got out of my car and made my way from the underground parking facility toward the mall where I’d agreed to meet with David. At first, he’d wanted me to meet with him at his house, but I’d turned down that idea quickly. No amount of guilt would make me step back into that house. Not after all the gaslighting and toxicity I’d endured within those four walls.
