“Yes. If you sleep in my bed. You’re my boyfriend,” I say matter-of-factly.

“As long as I’m the only one,” he chuckles.

“Well, I don’t know, I have to check in with the other guys I share my bed with,” I tease and he pinches my side, making me laugh. “Seriously, though…you’re the first guy to ever sleep in the same bed as me,” I say shyly, and I look at his chin to avoid his eyes. It is a nice chin with just a hint of stubble.

He continues to look at me and I continue to avoid his gaze. “First and last, I hope,” He finally says softly and brushes his thumb across my jaw. My heart does a little dance at those words, and I look at him.

“Yes,” I whisper with utter certainty. And even though it is absolutely crazy to be so sure of something that wasn’t even a thing a week ago…I am still so sure. He leans in and kisses me sweetly before he pulls away.

“What is your schedule today?” He asks while pushing a loose blonde tendril behind my ear.

“I don’t have any classes on Monday, but I tutor at the private school in town from three to five. What about you?”

“Nothing. All day.” He smiles at me, his straight white teeth flashing.

“I love it when you smile. You have such a beautiful smile.” I trace his full lips with my finger, and his breath is warm on my fingers.

“You make me smile,” He says earnestly.

“Good,” I respond with my own smile. “Can I make you breakfast?”

“Only if you let me help.”

“Deal.” He kisses my wrist before sitting up and helping me stand.

He goes to the bathroom to wash up before coming out to the kitchen where I am pouring out three mugs of coffee. He helps me make pancakes.

“What do you normally eat for breakfast?” I ask him as I hand him the bowl to mix the batter and I put a pan on the stove.

“Either nothing…or just coffee,” He says. I may take a second to check him out because there is just something about a man, this man, mixing pancake mix on a Monday morning.

“You should always have breakfast!” I say, spraying a pan with non-stick spray. He shakes his head at me.

“I’d rather get the extra minutes of sleep.” He shrugs, passing me the bowl and I begin to scoop out the batter. He leans against the counter with his hip, crosses his arms over his chest and watches me.

“What’s your favorite breakfast food?” I ask, flipping the first pancake.

“I think pancakes, now.”

I smirk at him. “Little charmer.” He chuckles.

We are just finishing the pancakes when Ana comes stumbling out of her room in a post-sleep haze.

“Good morning, sleeping beauty,” I sing to her. “Just in time for breakfast.”

“Well, well, well. Look who had a sleepover,” She teases as she sits at the table and accepts the cup of coffee I give her. I swat her arm as I walk away. Elliot stands behind the kitchen bar a little awkwardly. “Alright, come on over Elliot Decker, and tell me all your secrets.”

I give her a stern look before saying, “Ignore her. Please.” He gives me a small smile before helping me bring the food to the table.

We all sit and eat breakfast, talking comfortably. Ana and I do most of the talking, but we try our best to include Elliot in conversation. He seems more than happy to just be here and listen though.

After we finish cleaning up he says, “I’m going to run back to my room, to shower and change. Do you…want to come with me?”

“Where do you even live?” I ask curiously.

“Freshmen dorms.”

“Sure, I’ll come. Let me just change and…freshen up a bit.” I finish the dishes and go into my room. I close my door behind me and start to pull my shirt off. The door opens and I gasp, spinning around trying to cover myself.
