Elder Fredrick looked a little ill as he started the service.
“Friends and family. We are gathered here today to witness the joining of our alpha, Noah Parr, and Angeline Dewitt.”
The ceremony was simple. The elder looked at Noah and said, “Do you, Noah, take Angeline to be your mate, to love and honor her, and to stand by her through the good times and bad?”
Noah looked into Angie’s eyes and said, loudly and clearly, “I do.”
“Do you, Angeline, take Noah to be your mate, to love and honor him, and to stand by him through the good times and bad?”
“I do,” Angie promised.
“By the power vested in me by the Silent Paw Wolf Shifter Pack, I now pronounce you mates. Alpha, you may kiss your luna.”
Noah grinned and kissed her deeply, passionately, for his entire pack to see.
The reception was beautiful. Almost everyone seemed to be genuinely happy. Several members of the pack introduced themselves to Angie. The elders greeted her as the luna, showing her due respect. Anna hugged Angie and whispered, “I’m so glad you two are together. You make him so happy.”
Apollo and Rufus were a hit. Everyone lavished love and pets on them.
“They are going to be insufferable,” Angie commented.
Noah just laughed at the comment.
As the evening wore on, Angie noticed that Gerard wasn’t around.
“Where is your father?”
“He chose not to come. He didn’t want to be a part of the ‘catastrophe’ as he called it.”
“His loss,” Angie said.
She loved talking with everyone and dancing with Noah, but Angie was so happy to be at home with Noah.
They slowly undressed each other. He laid her gently on the bed and they slowly made love for the first time as alpha and luna.
