When I get a glimpse of her ass as she passes by, my decision is made. It’s an easy one. I can’t let that ass walk away from me again. Never again. Although it’s a great fucking ass. My favorite ass.

I walk up behind her, my legs moving swiftly as I catch up to her. It’s late, and there aren’t many people around, luckily.

Once I’m close enough to touch her, I wrap my palm around her mouth from behind and drag her down the side of the building, down to the back entrance where I know the cameras are not working, before she realizes what’s happening.

And I know that those cameras aren’t working because I disabled them months ago. Sometimes, you need to come and go without anyone seeing you or anyone being able to see you. Because not everyone needs to know my fucking business.

When we’re at the back of the building, she begins to fight me, or rather fight against me. I don’t let her, though. She doesn’t have a fucking choice but to come with me. Keeping my hand over her mouth, I muffle her screams as I head into the back door of my condo building.

But before I go inside, I spin her around and push her up against the wall, my torso pressing against her chest as I look down into her eyes. Dipping my chin, I touch my nose to hers, but I don’t kiss her.

Even though I want to kiss her. I want to suck every square inch of her. But beyond all of that, I want to fuck her so hard that she will never, not ever, even think about leaving me again.

“Hey, sunshine,” I purr.

“What?” she exhales.

I hum. “Did you really think I didn’t know your cunt when I saw it? That I didn’t know your eyes? That I didn’t know just whose lips those pink pillows belonged to? I’ve stared into both of them for hours. I know you, Allison.”

“Hendrick,” she breathes.

Laughing softly, I brush my lips against hers. “Yeah, sunshine. I knew you the moment my eyes found yours. That little shit mask wasn’t going to stop me.”

“Let me go,” she grinds out.

“Never. You’re mine.”

“I’m not,” she snaps. “I’m not yours, Ace.”

Ace.

Fuck.

Without making a single noise, I bend slightly, shoving my shoulder in her middle, then I straighten with her ass in the air and make my way into the building. She grabs ahold of the waist of my pants, gasping loudly before she shouts at me to let her down.

I don’t.

Not until we’re in my condo and I have not only the door locked but the alarm set. Only then do I let her down, sliding her body down the front of mine until she’s standing in front of me. Her eyes are wide, her lips parted in awe, and she takes a single step backward.

“You thought you could run away from me,” I say. “I want to know why.”

She shakes her head from side to side, her eyes focused on mine without making a single noise. I don’t move either as we stare at one another. It feels like it’s been a lifetime since I’ve seen her, even though I know it’s only been a few days.

“You thought you could disappear. That I wouldn’t look for you, that you wouldn’t absolutely fucking kill Parker? What the fuck is going through your goddamn head?” I bark, harsher than I’d planned.

“It doesn’t, Hendrick. I’m not staying here.”

I snort. “You are. That’s exactly what you’re fucking doing. Not just in Dallas either.”

She narrows her gaze on me, then I watch as her tongue peeks out and slides across her bottom lip. “What is that supposed to mean?”

It’s cute how she’s demanding things from me as if she can and as if I would even fucking listen to her. I’m in control here, complete fucking control, whether she likes it or not, and frankly, I don’t give a fuck if she doesn’t.

“You’re staying right fucking here, Allison. You’re not going anywhere again.”

She smiles, but it doesn’t reach her eyes. Instead, she appears sad as hell, and I almost feel guilty about it. But not quite. Because I refuse to let her walk away from me again. I don’t give a fuck what she wants.

I’m selfish. I know I am, but I’m not going to just watch her attempt to leave me ever again.
