"Electra Hernandez, sir," I replied in a steady voice, trying to sound confident.

"Well, Miss Hernandez, here are some ground rules," he announced in a hostile tone, and I nodded in agreement. He was clearly grumpy, and I didn’t want to anger him with my slow reactions. "You’ll be here every morning at seven. You’ll prepare my workplace before I arrive. I don’t like cleaning ladies and other unknown people in my office. Starting now, you’re responsible for everything that is inside this room. Also, today, my spare suits and some other stuff will arrive. You’ll take care of it."

"Yes, sir," I confirmed, and he continued right away. I watched as his tempting lips moved while he barked orders at me. It wasn’t my first rodeo; I knew my duties and responsibilities. Yet, he felt the need to remind me that he wasn’t Lena and that, from now on, I was his PA.

"The last thing, Miss Hernandez," he grumbled as I was about to leave his office, stopping me in my tracks. I turned to face him, frowning, because his expression changed from bossy to disgusted in a millisecond. “Next time, wear something less revealing. I’m not interested in watching your bouncing breasts."

My eyes widened in horror, and I looked down at my chest. Two buttons on my white blouse were opened, and my lacy nude bra was visible for my boss to admire. I felt blood rushing into my head, and I quickly covered my boobs with the thin fabric.

"I-I’m sorry," I stuttered, and he gave me an annoyed look.

"I don’t like desperate women. Keep your dignity, Electra."

I’d never been so ashamed. He dismissed me with a wave of his hand, and I almost ran to get out of his reach.

If I had a bad feeling about this new position before, it was nothing compared to what I was feeling after meeting my boss. I really sucked at first impressions, but this was my new bottom. However, Mr Thorn wasn't exactly friendly either. He could have told me about the buttons on my blouse more politely. It wasn't necessary to humiliate me during our first conversation.

With an exasperated sigh, I sat down behind my desk, instantly whimpering. A painful reminder of last night’s adventures rapidly brought me back to reality.

I had work to do. I had a chance to show Mr Thorn I wasn’t desperate, but I was actually fantastic at my job. I just had to be myself.

The second day

Electra

MydeterminationtoshowMr Thorn that I was a great employee died five minutes after I’d walked out of the elevator. He was half sitting on my desk, his muscular arms crossed over his broad chest, and he was giving me a murderous look. I mentally sighed because of his appearance. Despite him glaring at me like I’d just killed his dog, he was drop-dead gorgeous.

His black button-up shirt fit him perfectly, and the loose crimson red tie and messy black hair gave him a rebellious look. But the clenched jaw and anger in his crystal blue orbs told me I was in trouble. He was furious.

"You’re late!" he barked before I could even greet him properly. I frowned, quickly peering at my phone. It was 7:01 am.

"It’s one minute after seven, Mr Thorn," I pointed out as politely as possible. "Good morning to you, too." I put my bag down next to him, noticing the massive pile of files on my table. "You shouldn’t be here until nine," I continued gently, taking the first paper into my hand.

"This is my company, Miss Hernandez," he spat, still staring daggers at me with his eyes. "I can sleep in my office if I want to!" He stood up to his full height, and I gulped. He was a huge man. At least six feet four inches tall, weighing about two hundred and twenty pounds, and with all muscles toned. I was tempted to poke his flat abdomen or press my fingers against his bicep just to test its firmness.

"Are you checking me out, Electra?" he growled, and I winced in shock. I was so lost in my ogling that I forgot that he wasn’t a picture but a real man, glaring at me with a glint of mischief in his eyes.

I flushed red in a second. Blood rushed through my veins into my head, and I bit my tongue.

“N-no.” I frantically shook my head, avoiding his piercing gaze. "It would be inappropriate."

He narrowed his eyes at me while I held my breath. I wasn’t sure if he was angry or annoyed by me. His expression was unreadable.

"I need three copies of every paper in those files," he announced, motioning to my table, and I blinked a few times, confused.

"I did exactly that yesterday, sir," I reminded him, opening another file to check if I had made a mistake. "I left them in your office."

"I noticed." He grabbed a piece of paper from my hand, put it on top of the whole pile, and handed it to me. Surprised, I took it, releasing a deep breath because it was heavier than it looked. "I want to have it on my desk in an hour." He turned around with the clear intention of leaving me while I stared at his broad back in bewilderment.

"Sir, it’ll take half of the day," I said, wondering what the hell was wrong with him. I had other things to do. He could have given it to some intern instead of bothering me with such pettiness. Not to mention that I already did it yesterday.

"Then, I would start if I were you," he stated, walking to his office. However, before he could close the door, I couldn’t help but ask.

"Why?" My voice was soaked with disbelief when I looked into his handsome face. The devilish grin on his lips made my stomach clench with wariness. My new boss was even crazier than I thought.

"Punishment for being late," he replied nonchalantly, slamming the door.
