“There is nothing to talk about, Dom. I’ll just follow your lead and your rules because, apparently, I have no say in this, right? Even though I’m the one who works at the PR firm and is helping you with a mess you caused. But you can decide when it’s okay to kiss me because you got jealous.”

“I wasn’t jealous.”

She whips around. “Bullshit.”

Looking around the busy street, I grab her arm and lower down so we’re eye level.

“Would you calm down and stop shouting?”

Her eyes narrow into small slits. It’s incredibly hard not to smile right now, but I know if my lips crack, even slightly, she’s going to lose her shit.

“Don’t tell me to calm down. You don’t get to tell me what to do. I’m not yours.”

She tries to shake her arm free, but I pull her into me, trapping her against my body.

“Dominik, let me go,” she breathes, her eyes lingering on my mouth.

“And you don’t get to talk to me like that,” I whisper back, leaning in closer to her and wanting to kiss her again. “Out here, you belong to me.”

Fuck, that kiss.

It’s all I’ve been thinking about since our lips touched. It was better than I’d imagined it would be. I didn’t even realize how starved for her I truly was until our lips finally met. Until she was pressed close to my body and I could smell her, feel the warmth from her skin…like now, as the animal inside me roars, needing to bind us together once again.

I release her, and she blinks before stepping away quickly.

This is the reason I didn’t want to do this with Zoe in the first place. This need I have for her, the way I’m drawn to her, is unlike anything else. The temptation is too great to ignore. And now it’s too late to back out. It would make Aaron and Tristan suspicious, not to mention how disappointed Coach would be with me…again.

“Bastard,” she mutters under her breath, but it’s loud enough for me to catch.

Looking to my left, I notice the small, deserted alleyway tucked in between two buildings. Without a second thought, I grab her arm and drag her with me.

“What the fuck are you doing?”

Walking past an empty dumpster, where I’m certain we won’t be seen from the street, I press her up against the brick wall. A look of apprehension and slight terror fills her eyes, but there is something else there too. It’s the way her eyelids become a bit hooded and her breaths quicken. She’s excited, maybe even a little aroused by the sudden change in my behavior.

“You want to repeat that again? See what I’ll do to you for running your mouth like that?” Pressing my leg in between hers, Zoe’s knees fall apart as I pin her in place with my body.

She studies me for a second, contemplating her next words. “You wouldn’t dare.”

“Are you sure about that, Zoe?”

Inching down, I hover close to her cheek, watching her closely as my breath fans across her skin. She squirms, trying to break free, but I’m too strong for her.

“What if everything you think you know about me is wrong? You think you’re the only one who likes to wear masks?”

Her shocked expression lights me up, making me want to give into all my needs. To rip her pants off and take her right here, press my palm against her mouth to muffle her sweet moans. But instead, I reach up with my free hand, snaking my fingers around her neck. Zoe shuts her eyes, inhaling a strained breath before reopening them.

“I’m not wrong about you.”

I arch a brow at her. “Do you care to find out? Right here, right now?”

As suspected, she shakes her head.

“Don’t you ever disobey me like that again or flirt with anyone else.”

I’m trying to control her and force her into submission, teach her a lesson for the way she treated me back there. But a part of me wants her to fight back, to stand up for herself and show me that brat. I enjoy thinking of all the ways I could tame her attitude and turn her into a whimpering pet.

And my Zoe never disappoints. She lifts her neck, pressing against my hand as she tries to move me but ends up just bringing her face closer to mine.
