“I couldn’t have imagined it any other way,” Lycus whispers, pulling me closer as if he can’t bear the thought of being apart even for a moment. “I’m so proud of you Angel.”

In that quiet embrace, surrounded by the scent of old books and new dreams, I know that this is where I belong. Not just in this beautiful bookshop and wine bar we’ve created, but in Lycus’ arms, where every moment feels like coming home.

Lycus brushes a strand of hair behind my ear and gazes into my eyes with an intensity that steals my breath away. “Angelica,” he begins, his voice tinged with emotion, “I never believed in fate or destiny until I met you.”

My heart swells with love for this man who has become my partner in every sense of the word.

“And I never knew what true happiness was until you walked into my life,” I reply.

With a tenderness that speaks volumes, Lycus cups my face in his hands and presses a soft, lingering kiss to my lips.

As we pull apart, a soft murmur ripples through the bookshop, drawing our attention to the small stage where Lou stands with a microphone in hand, a mischievous twinkle in her eye. She raises her glass high, the tinkling sound cutting through the chatter like a bell.

“Attention, everyone! I just wanted to take a moment to toast our wonderful hosts tonight – Angelica and Lycus. This place wouldn’t be what it is without their hard work and dedication. Here’s to love, friendship, and many more unforgettable nights at this little haven they’ve created.”

The room erupts into cheers and applause, glasses clinking together in a cacophony of celebration. Lycus squeezes my hand, a smile playing on his lips as he leans in to whisper, “I think you may have started something truly special here.”

I turn to him, my heart full to bursting with happiness and pride. “I think you’re right, we have,” I reply, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek before turning back to face our guests with a smile that feels like it might stretch all the way to my ears.

The night stretches on, filled with laughter and conversation, wine flowing freely and books finding new homes. As the last guest bids us goodnight and the lights dim low, Lycus takes my hand and leads me back to the stage where Lou had made her toast earlier.

The room is now empty, the flickering fairy lights casting a soft glow over the shelves of books that hold endless stories and secrets.

Lycus looks at me with eyes that reflect the same warmth as the lights around us, and I know without a doubt that this is where I am meant to be – in his arms, surrounded by our shared dreams brought to life.

“Angelica,” he begins, his voice filled with a tenderness that makes my heart swell, “I want to spend every day turning the pages of our story together, creating new chapters filled with love and laughter.”

Tears gather at the corners of my eyes as his words wash over me, a gentle wave of emotion that threatens to pull me under. I reach for his hand, interlacing our fingers as if to anchor myself in this moment.

Without another word, Lycus pulls me into a warm embrace, his arms wrapping around me in a cocoon of love and safety.

“I love you, Angel.”

“I feel the same way, Lycus. I love you,” I reply. “You are my home, my heart, my everything.”
