In mere seconds, Nico is standing over the bath I am currently soaking in. He smiles and my chest tightens with that all-consuming love I have for him.

Dropping to his knees, he reaches up and runs a finger down my cheek. “Hmm, I was going to suggest fucking you in the shower, but I see that’s off the table now.”

“You can join me in here?” I say hopefully.

He smirks. “I think I will. You can sit on my lap and ride my cock.”

My pussy clenches with need at his dirty words, needing to feel him inside me, more than I need air right now.

“Okay,” I breathe.

He grins, standing to his full height and stripping out of his designer suit. Desire tightens my stomach and I have a feeling this is going to turn into some hot, much needed, sex.

Fortunately, I just put Romeo down to bed, so we don’t need to worry about waking him. Nico jerks his head, silently asking me to move forward. I do, allowing him to get in the tub behind me. Wrapping his arm around my waist, he pulls me in close and I shiver when his hard length slides up my back. Hot breath hits my ear and when his tongue caresses my pulse point, I nearly come on the spot.

“Does my littleTesorowant my cock?” I nod, licking my lips as pure desire thrums in my veins. He lifts me with one hand, positioning his cock at my entrance with the other. And then he is lowering me slowly onto him. My eyes roll shut when he fills me completely. I don’t think I will ever get used to the feeling of him inside me. I assume for many people it would be considered a once in a lifetime experience, but for me, I get to keep Nico forever. When he is fully seated inside me, his chest rumbles with a satisfied groan. He nibbles my ear lobe, his voice thick when he speaks. “Such a good girl, taking my cock inmytight little pussy. Now ride my dick until I come. I have two days’ worth of my seed ready and waiting to fill you.”

Sighing, I smile, leaning back against his hard chest.

“As you wish,husband.”

He shivers against me, and I feel rather than see his smile. Though he would never admit it, he loves it when I call him husband. “I love you, wife.”

My breath hitches in my throat. I will never get used to him saying those words to me.

“And I love you, Nico.”

Epilogue

Three months after that….

Nico

Istare at the white marble stone in our private family crypt, my fingers tracing over the name.

Dante Enzo Vitale.

A week after I delivered the news to my sister, and without a body, we held a funeral for my best friend in a private ceremony. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Not only was my grief all consuming, but my sister’s devastation also broke me a little more. From a young age, I protected her, and it killed me that I couldn’t shield her from this.

Dante was our family, the man Allegra loved, a huge part of our lives and now he is just… gone. I don’t know how to wrap my head around his death and I’m man enough to admit that I will never get over the loss of him.

“He was my everything,” a soft voice whispers behind me.

Glancing over my shoulder, I watch Allegra making her way toward me. “I’m sorry.” I say, my shoulders slumping. Though I know his death was not my fault, I can’t help but feel responsible in some way. If only I had made him come with me that day, he would still be alive.

A tear runs down her cheek, a shuddered breath leaving her as she steps up to me. Her blue gaze locks on his name, tracing every curve and line engraved in the stone. Her face falls, the sorrow she shows me every day marring every inch of her.

“It wasn’t your fault. We both know the risks of this life. I just miss him so much, Nic. We were planning our lives together. Marriage. A family.” Her breath hitches, a sob breaking free, and I pull her into my arms, pressing a kiss to her temple. Her body shakes with the force of her cries, my chest cracking a little more with every sound that leaves her mouth.

I don’t know how long we stay like that, me holding my sister while she mourns a love that never even had a chance to begin. A love that my papà would never have allowed, but one that Dante risked his life for anyway. The fact he was willing to risk my papà’s wrath proved how much he loved my sister. Showed me that he is exactly the kind of man I would want for Allegra. I blow out a weary breath, frowning when my sister pulls out of my arms.

Wiping the wet from under her eyes, she sucks in a breath as if preparing herself for her next words. Turning to me, she pins me with watery blue orbs. I frown, knowing whatever she says next is going to change everything.

“Nic,” she starts, her gaze darting to Dante’s headstone before coming back to me. My pulse kicks up when I see determination staring back at me. “I don’t want you to get me out of the marriage arrangement with Riccardo–” I open my mouth, ready to cut her off and tell her that I will absolutely be getting her out of this contract if it’s the last thing I do. If not for her, then for Dante’s memory, but she holds up a hand, stopping me. “The love of my life is gone. If I can’t have Dante,” she whispers his name. “Then I don’t want anyone. But I also know what it will cost you if you succeed in ending the contract. You, Mamma, Ocean, Romeo, and your future baby are all that I have left,” she continues, reminding me that my wife is pregnant again. That in less than five months we will have another baby. “And I won’t risk your lives if I don’t need to. Tell the Romanos the marriage will go ahead.”

I shake my head, grabbing her forearms and imploring her with my eyes. “Allegra, you don’t understand. I’ve heard the rumors about Riccardo, and so have you. I don’t want you anywhere near that. I will not let it go ahead. I will not risk you.”

More tears fall from her eyes, a small smile gracing her lips. “Listen to me, Nic. You don’t trust the Romanos but I’m strong. Dante made mestrong.” She enunciates each word. “Let me do this. Let me be on the inside, to see if I can find out what they are planning. You know as well as me that they are plotting something, and we need to find out what before it comes to fruition. Before they can hurt us.”
