With that, she walks out the door, leaving me with a perfect view of her round ass, a throbbing cock, and my shredding self-dignity. I suddenly don't feel like grading papers or writing my latest submission for peer-review. Considering the two places I'd rather be, the gym is the smartest idea of the two. I quickly pack up to leave, my mind racing. This couldn't happen again. I couldn't standby and watch my life self-implode over one rash decision I made with my cock.

Chapter Nine

Olivia

“Mia,youwillnotbelieve this shit.” I double over when I reach the kitchen. I need water to replenish what I lost during my workout and what fluid I lost when I ran into Tomas. I pull out a glass, fill it from the faucet, and drink it in one gulp. The water eases the burn from my exertion, but does nothing to extinguish the fire building in my core. Mia doesn’t answer, and when I look at the couch, I understand why.

Mia has her black t-shirt draped across her boobs and her knees drawn up tight against her lower half, which I presume is also naked. She looks at me like a deer in headlights. Matt’s on the couch next to her, equally stunned, and with a weary look on his face. When I look down, his large hands are covering his dick and balls. Nobody says a word.

“Oh, Jesus Christ. You guys! The couch? Really?” I finally muster out in disbelief.

“We were expecting you to run longer,” Matt explains, with his disheveled hair and wide blue eyes. I involuntarily give him a once over, my eyes lingering on his chiseled chest. His biceps bulge as he continues to cover himself. Mia raises a brow, pulling me back to the moment.

I need to spill the details on the chance encounter with DeLuca to someone now, or I’m going to explode. Fuck it, they can stand there naked because this can’t wait. “I just ran into DeLuca again because fuck my life. Are we collectively stalking each other? There are literally thousands of students and countless faculty. Why do I keep running into him?”

“What?! Where?” Mia exclaims as she jumps up. I shriek, shielding my eyes as her breasts spill free, giving me an unabashed display of full-frontal nudity.

“Shit! Sorry! Putting on clothes now.” Matt slowly bends down to follow suit, careful not to give me an uninhibited view of his body just as Mia unwittingly did. He slips into his pants, teetering slightly, but recovers without flashing me. I think he’s trying to spare me more than himself. He claps his hands once enthusiastically.

“Shall I get the wine, ladies?” We both aggressively nod, and he strolls by me into the kitchen, setting two stemless wine glasses down on the counter with a soft thud. He turns and pulls an IPA out of the fridge, popping the top off between his teeth.

“Wow, he really is the ideal man,” I tell Mia, impressed.

“Tell me everything now. Are you freaking the fuck out?”

“Oh, I am most definitely freaking the fuck out. I have to face him tomorrow afternoon, too.” Matt hands me a wine glass, which I immediately press to my lips and sip.

“Thanks,” I say as he walks to Mia. He sits next to her on the couch and automatically wraps an arm around her. It makes me wistful, hopeful, and jealous. I wish I found someone–anyone–a freshman or even a senior. Just another student, at the very least, attractive and interesting. Scouring the halls and my classes has been futile. Nothing pulls my thoughts away from DeLuca.

“So, I went for my usual Sunday run and cut across to the Jamison building to get a coffee and say hi to Dad. I turned around after making my cup and DeLuca was staring directly at my ass. I swear he even blushed a bit. He scared the fuck out of me, though, so I decided me and the floor were going to wear the coffee. Then he caught me staring when he cleaned it up for me. He also insinuated that he was and was not a gentleman, so I don’t know what to think except that I need a long, cold shower.”

“Him, too. We need to brainstorm about tomorrow,” she says pensively.

“How about an excuse for office hours?”

“I could say I’m looking for my dad for something. I don’t really want to bring attention to myself from others, though. Half of the faculty already know me based on the photos in his office and we’ve had the other incidents that he knows about.”

After a moment, I relent. “It’s not a bad idea, truthfully. If I end up in his office for office hours, I’ll ask something vague about the syllabus or the readings.” Mia nods in approval. Matt sits next to Mia, amused.

“What?” I ask with an inquisitive look.

“Just wear a skirt and no panties. He’ll get the idea, and it will be much more straightforward than the conniving you two are doing.”

“I don’t think we’ve escalated to that level of desperation yet.”

“Soooo, next week?” he adds. I throw the pillow at him, and he catches it without a flinch.

“Not next week,” I counter.

“But the week after,” Mia declares with finality.

“If we don’t make out by then, I’ll consider it.”

Everybody seems satisfied, like this is a viable solution that won’t have the possibility of derailing my academic career and beyond. I’m wrapped up in the fantasies, but the truth is the longer it takes, the more I reconsider. I’m especially terrified of disappointing my family. Dad works tirelessly to build us this life, ensuring our every want and need is satisfied. In exchange, I dedicate myself to looking excellent in person and on paper. I’ve spearheaded clubs and played varsity tennis. I’ve danced and boxed and ran. I’ve interned. I’ve worked. I was valedictorian. I have taken part in every extracurricular under the sun for so long that it would be an incredible waste to give into temptation.

“Hey, I’m going to hit the gym, then grab some groceries. I’ll bring dinner back. Just text me.”

“The gym? Didn’t you just go for a run?” Matt asks skeptically.
