He was mistaken if he thought I was a good girl. Not around the intoxicating man. So I did what every bad girl would do at this moment. I squeezed my pussy muscles, taking full control away from the man I adored.

When he threw his head back in affirmation, erupting deep inside, I licked my lips in appreciation of being able to get to him the way he did to me.

“Fuck.” His roar was epic and within seconds, he collapsed over me, biting down on the side of my neck. As he pulled me down to the couch, wrapping one leg around me, I realized I’d never felt so safe or protected in my life.

We spent several minutes trying to learn how to breathe again.

“That was…” I started.

“Amazing.”

“God, yes.”

The second we both heard someone pounding on the door, we jerked up. I wrapped my hand around his arm, a trickle of fear nearly tearing me apart. “Who could that be?”

Sebastian snarled at first before he burst into laughter. “My brother.”

“I can’t believe you’re going out on a date with a man you just met at a funeral,” I told Megan almost as soon as she walked out of the bathroom where she’d freshened up.

“Hold on here,” she said as she moved to reclaim her glass of wine. “Let me get this straight. You met a man who saved your life at work one morning, sparring with him because you were determined not to like or accept that he’d come to your rescue. When he appeared out of the blue at the bar where you work, you did your best to blow him off yet ended up in bed with him. Did I miss anything?”

I shifted back and forth, the light dress I was wearing still creating tingling sensations from where he’d spanked me. “Well, maybe one little thing.”

She walked closer, eyeing me with an evil grin on her face. The fact she’d immediately taken to Jackson, who was a slightly younger carbon copy of the man I adored was fascinating. They’d been like two kids, trying to remain quiet while Sebastian had said a few words while standing over the gravesite. I’d barely heard them given the scene they’d made. At least they were adorable together.

“And what’s that, sunshine?” she challenged, lifting her glass and taking a sip.

“He might have spanked me instead of calling the sheriff since I assaulted him.” While I kept my voice hushed since Britta was in her room with the door open, I burst into laughter when she choked on her wine, spitting out half a gulp.

“What?”

“Yep, you heard me. He’s very… dominating. I wonder if Jackson is just like him.”

“No man is ever going to spank me like a bad little girl,” she huffed.

“Never say never,” I told her, wagging my finger.

“Oh, no. I don’t care.”

I laughed. “I hope you have fun.”

“I haven’t been on a date in so long, I don’t know what to do.”

“It’s like riding a bike. At least so they tell me.”

She took another sip of wine, eyeing me carefully. “I’m glad you two made up.”

“So am I.”

“Are you certain you’re going to be okay being alone tonight?”

I grinned in my usual mischievous way. “I’m not going to be alone. Sebastian and I are making dinner tonight.”

“Oh, so you’re a thing now.” She winked mostly because she knew the answer.

“We might become business partners too.”

“You’re kidding me. Doing what? Boarding horses?”
