“Where is the father of Luna’s baby?” Fuck, why did I just ask that? How dumb could I be? Way to give myself away.

Pete turns to look at me. “It’s a long story and honestly hers to tell but she’s amazing and ready to do it alone. Of course, we plan on helping. I can’t wait to be a papa.”

Jesus Christ, he’s going to hate me. “Did she tell you anything at all about the guy?” I should be keeping my mouth shut. He’s going to figure it out.

He shakes his head. “She met him at a club while she was living in Chicago.” Pete stands. “Now let’s catch some more fish and have ourselves one hell of a fish dinner tonight.”

“You two, relax. I’ll help Luna with cleanup.” I tell my brother, who is snuggled up on the hammock with his wife. My nephew went to bed a half hour ago, so I’m sure they don’t get a lot of alone time.

“Thanks Sebastian.” Sara calls out and gives me a smile. My brother picked a good one, that’s for sure. She perfect for him and he worships the ground she walks on. From what I’ve seen she’s also a fantastic mother.

Luna looks up when I step inside. “Hey, I thought I’d come help clean up.”

She bites her lip and nods. “That’d be great, thanks.”

I rinse the dishes as she loads the dishwasher. “What did you think of the fish?”

After putting soap in it, she shuts the door and turns the machine on. “It was so good. I’ve never eaten Bluefin tuna before, but it was great. Your brother is certainly skilled in the kitchen.”

I lean against the counter as I watch her wipe of the counter. “Now, how did you get good at cooking when your mom isn’t very good.” I hold up my hands. “Her words not mine.”

Luna laughs softly. “I started cooking dinner when I was about eight. Of course, Mom was in there with me, but I learned to read recipes, and how to make stuff taste good.”

“You’re really beautiful.” She freezes and then her cheeks turn bright pink. “I’ve heard people say that a woman glows when she’s pregnant, but I didn’t believe it until now.”

She’s in a short flowy purple sundress and her feet are bare. Her toenails are white and highlight her tanned skin. I love the way she has her hair hanging down her back in soft waves.

“T-Thank you. I admit that I’ve enjoyed the curves my body has now.” Luna runs her hands over her belly and then her hips.

My dick twitches in my shorts at the thought of my own hands on her body. I look out the window above the sink and can see that Sara and Pete are still in the hammock and facing the opposite way.

I step closer to her, why I’m not sure, but I certainly don’t stop myself from doing it. Placing a hand on Luna’s belly, I’m again in awe of it. It’s hard, but soft. Will I ever tire, of touching it.

Freezing I feel a teeny tiny thump, against my hand. “Did I just feel that?” God, she’s moving around like crazy right now.

She places her hand on mine. “You did.” Luna smiles up at me. “It feels like she’s doing a little wiggle, wiggle inside of me.”

Of course, the baby doesn’t move around long, before she stops. “Let’s go back outside.”

We get a bottle of wine and three glasses, taking them outside. “We brought some vino, lovebirds.” I say to Pete and Sara.

They both turn their heads to smile at us. It’s obvious they were in the middle of making out because her lips look puffier than normal. I can’t help the small laugh that escapes. “I brought out some wine.”

Luna holds up the wine glasses and just shakes her head. “They’re like this a lot.” She says leaning in close to me. Her fruity scent wraps around me and causes this weird feeling in my gut.

I pour them both a glass of pinot grigio and wait until they’re out of the hammock before handing it to them.

The four of us sit on the little love seats around the firepit. Luna takes the same one as me. Once Pete lights the fire, it casts a soft orange glow over us.

“Sweetheart, you look so beautiful.” Sara says as she smiles at Luna.

She blows her mom a kiss. “That’s because I look like you.” Luna places her hand on her stomach. “I hope she looks us.”

“If she does, I’m building a compound to protect her from boys.” Pete says, shaking his head. “Her papa has to protect her.”

I take a drink of my wine to hide any sort of reaction, my face may give away.

Luna glances at me before looking at her stepdad, my brother. “I feel bad for her already.” She says with a laugh. “I’m sure Nicky will be the most protective. He’s obsessed with her already.”
