Rubbing my hand along her smooth shin, I give her a devilish smirk. “It’s cute that you were trying to impress me, though.”

She purses her lips, a stubborn twitch in the corners. “Instead, you impressed me.”

“How so?”

“Because you’re a good brother.” She drops her attention to her fidgeting fingers. “And Tarrah’s a good friend, unlike me.”

Her skirt is still hiked up around her waist, and I get my fill of her satisfied and swollen clit because I’m a greedy son of a bitch.

It wasn’t enough to have her just this once. Besides, there are so many things I still want to do to her.

So many positions to try. Places around the apartment to fuck on—and over.

I just want more.

But I don’t like where this conversation is headed.

“You didn’t do anything—”

There’s a knock on the door, but it’s more of a bang, one after another.

“Eli!” Boone’s obnoxious yells drift through the barrier. “Dude, let me in.”

I groan and help Pumpkin get dressed, then do the same for myself.

I’ve just buttoned my jeans when Boone barges in, Lowell on his tail with a shining key in hand. Pia throws her purse across her shapely body and shifts to the side. At least she’s fully dressed before the asshole storms in here like the place is on fucking fire.

“What the hell? I was just coming to let you in. What’s so urgent you couldn’t wait?” I bark at the drummer.

“I forgot my vape pen.” Boone blinks between us, and his gaze lingers a little too long on Pumpkin’s sexed-up hair and flushed face. “Wait. I thought she was your sister.”

“She’s not my sister,” I grind out and slip my fingers through hers to emphasize my point, although I thought I’d made that perfectly clear when I told them to leave earlier.

Boone throws his head back and laughs, the stale smell of liquor releasing in bursts with each amused breath. “Dude, Eli, I can’t believe you actually slept with her. Doesn’t seem like your type. I mean, her skirt is obviously borrowed. No way would she own anything half as hot, and I don’t see—”

I tear my hand from Pia’s and wrap it around a fistful of the drunken moron’s shirt. As I back him up against the wall, I’m fuming. “Watch it, motherfucker. I will rip your tiny fucking dick right off your body if—”

The click of the door behind me interrupts my seething threat, and it takes me a moment to bring anything into focus through the red blur of rage.

“Shit, Eli, overreacting much?”

I let go of him and spin in circles, making myself dizzy.

She left.

Fuck, she didn’t even give me a chance to beat Boone to a pulp in her honor. Where’s the fun in doing so now if I don’t have her as a witness?

I ram my hands through my hair and pace by the door, fury still pumping through my veins as the rest of the band filters inside. The clueless bastards go straight to the drinks lined up along the bar as if they’re bored.

If I didn’t miss Trevor before, I do now, for sure. He never would’ve pulled something like this.

But while I can’t change the fact that he left, I can change Pia’s mind about giving up on us. My sister won’t be the one to keep us apart, and it sure as fuck won’t be because of the dumbass comments my bandmate made.

I need to find her.
