Leo winked and grinned. “You love it? You want some more of it?” He sang the questions like the old Tim McGraw song, once more going silly on me, but his eyes…God, his eyes remained open and vulnerable.

The heaviness of our conversation from seconds earlier lifted, and sweet anticipation swelled inside me.

He leaned over the table, those orbs of his going dark with desire even though his grin remained. “Are you ready to get out of here?” His low murmur tightened my nipples to points.

I nodded, unable to find my voice in the mix of arousal and the ton of feels he had reeling inside me.

“I need to hear words, Nis.”

My heart melted, and my eyes once more welled at the nickname even though happiness floated my heart in an ocean of hope. “Yes.”

Leo tossed two hundred-dollar bills onto the table and stood, offering his hand.

An electrical charge swept up my arm and straight to my clit as our palms clasped close.

We strode hand-in-hand out of the restaurant.

One bad thing about the Alaskan summers—if you wanted to fuck in the dark, you’d better have damn good blinds and curtains.

But not me. I lusted to see Leo move over me, the expression on his face as he sank into my willing—and very wet—pussy.

My core spasmed at the thought of him filling me up.

“Did you drive?” Leo asked, tearing my mind off dick and orgasms.

“Uber,” I replied, glancing up at him.

His strong jawline appeared clean-shaven, but a hint of golden shadow suggested he might leave a bit of scruff marks on the insides of my thighs if he went that route.

God, did I burn for that—but not yet.

Need coursed through me as our gazes met again, and we once more got caught up together in the bright sunlight. There was no romantic twinkling of stars above us, no pale moon shining a halo over the ground around us like in the books I devoured with fairytale endings.

And yet I’d never felt so…moved before, as though I swayed on the edge of something bold and beautiful.

I wanted Leo, and I was about to have him whether I was good enough to deserve such a man or not.

Chapter 7

Leo

While driving, we sang along to old country hits rather than continuing with the seriousness of our conversations over dinner. The time for allowing emotional vulnerability had come to an end, and I soaked in the sound of her off-tune voice while she belted out lyrics with a confidence I envied.

Even though we laughed and poked a bit of fun at each other over our lack of singing skills, sexual tension still radiated between us like a living entity, fingers of desire tracing over skin and heightening the senses.

I couldn’t wait to taste her lips and strip her down. Would she be open to my darker desires? Would she allow me to own her—mark her—even for one night? She was known as the wild child, and her stare suggested she wanted to take a bite out of my soul, but would I be offered the upper hand?

An ache settled in my chest that only her whimpered moans and cries would soothe. The need to know her intimately, beyond words of shared thoughts, kept my body tight. Hard. Leaking.

Until we pulled into my driveway, I couldn’t catch my breath, couldn’t calm my racing heart.

Rather than hopping out of the car, I held onto Nissa’s hand clasped atop my thigh and turned fully to face her after shutting the engine off.

Almost black hair spilled over her shoulders in gentle waves, draping lightly over the gentle swell of her breasts encased in white. Perfectly-sized, they would fit my palms and then some. I lifted my focus to her eyes. Dark and fathomless, they lured me in once more like a siren’s song, and I found myself leaning toward her, the talking and singing over for the night.

I was going to have her regardless of where I crashed and burned afterward.

Nissa held up a hand, stopping me from kissing her, her gaze hot on my face. “We ought to take this inside because once we start, this sexual tension between us is going to combust. I’m imagining loud noises and a serious aftermath of messy cum over both of us.”
