The feel of someone else touching me is both terrifying and so erotic I don’t want it to end. I don’t want this to end. I grip his wrist as he strokes, and then I widen my legs. Gray curses and moves behind me, pulling me back so he’s supporting my weight.

“Ask me to kiss you, Nyx, please,” Gray begs.

I squeeze my eyes closed and moan. My hips arch against the omega’s hand. “Kiss me, please, I need it.”

Dylan pulls his fingers out, revealing how wet I am. I watch as he puts those digits in his mouth and closes his eyes as if he’s savouring it. Gray growls and merges our lips together. My mouth fills with the taste of mango, and I throw an arm around his neck, holding on.

I shift my legs, suddenly aching and needy. My nipples are painfully tight, and I need, I want more. The thought that it’s the middle of the day and people could be just on the other side of these hedges drives the excitement even higher. I’m so close, the pressure is almost painful. I need more.

Dylan drops to his knees, dragging my pants and underwear with him, exposing me to the garden air. He helps me out of them and then he lifts one of my legs and stares. My cheeks burn.

“Well, hell, looks like this is how we’re playing this,” Grayson growls. His hands shift, and suddenly they’re under my shirt, climbing up my ribs to grip my breasts. I cry out as his thumbs brush across my sensitive nipples.

“Grayson! Security needs you!” Falcon shouts from close by.

I stumble away from both of them, my cheeks burning. I reach for my pants and pull them back on and then slip my shoes on. Shit, what did I almost do?

Grayson lets out a growl and gives Dylan a long look.

“So close,” He murmurs.

I don’t wait to see what Dylan says, I just run back to where I find Falcon standing, his hands on his hips. He looks at the three of us and frowns slightly.

“I didn’t realise you were giving a tour.” Falcon directs the words at Grayson, searching his face.

Gray snorts. “I was trying something new.”

Falcon’s eyes sharpen. “Any success?”

“We were so close,” Gray growls.

I blush bright red.

“Sorry, Alpha,” I murmur. “I’ll get back to work now.”

He reaches out, grabs my hand, and drags me back through the garden. “Not your fault. This is entirely on Gray. But I am sorry I didn’t come a few minutes later.”

I think I hear a ‘me, too’, but I don’t look around. Nope. That way lies madness.

Grayson

Iexchange a glance with my omega, and the pair of us trace the fleeing beta with a one-track mind. We were so close. The taste of her is in our noses, our mouths. I can feel her pressed against me.

Dylan catches up to her and grabs her hand. She peers up at him with pink-stained cheeks and this expression that is three parts hunger and seven parts affection.

She is falling in love with him. No, she is in love with him. It’s written on her face every time she looks at him. Now, how do we get her to feel those feelings towards us? I’m not sure that I've ever pursued anyone for anything other than casual sex, with the very distinct exception of my omega.

But winning him was more a case of waging a war.

I follow them up to the penthouse and go into Falcon’s office in order to deal with the problem of the beta’s sister and her behaviour. The staff wants us to shut her down, but I want to leave it to buy more time. I’m there for an hour arguing with our security team, more frustrated than I can tell, when Falcon comes in and sits behind his desk.

“What happened in the garden?” His face relaxes, and he undoes his tie and throws it on the desk.

I hang up on the guy on the phone.

“Nothing. It almost happened, but then it didn’t. You have the worst timing.” I sigh and rub my forehead. “He was all for it. Bad, terrible timing, Falcon.”
