She swirls the last bit of wine in her glass, avoiding my gaze. "Leaving all of this behind. The danger, the constant fear. Starting over somewhere new."
I consider her words for a moment before replying honestly. "Sometimes," I admit. "But it's not that easy, Mia."
"I know," she says softly. "But wouldn't it be worth it? To have a chance at a real life?"
Her words resonate with me, and I find myself nodding slowly. "Yeah," I say quietly. "It would be worth it."
A light hiccup draws my attention right back to her, and her empty glass--then to the empty wine bottle. I balk at her.
"Did you drink all of that?" I ask in disbelief.
Her cheeks turn a deep shade of pink. "I'm not drunk."
I put my hands up as she points a finger at me. "I didn't say that. Come on, let's head back."
She pouts and says she doesn't want to, but I grab her and lead her out to the car anyway. It'll be better if I just get her back to the compound for tonight. Then I can figure out what to do later.
At least, that's what I tell myself.

Ihelp Mia out of the car, her hiccups and giggles filling the air. "Shhh!"
I'm attempting to sneak her back to her room, but her tipsy state is making it challenging as she continues to make quite a bit of noise. It's clear she had a bit too much wine with dinner.
"Don't shush me," she pouts back.
As we walk, Mia starts singing random song lyrics, her voice echoing through the hallways. Chuckling, I realize that trying to get her back to her room unnoticed is no longer an option. It's a comical situation, and I decide to take her to my room instead since it's closer.
She turns to me with a mischievous grin, blurting out, "I bet you'd make a sexy police officer." Her words catch me off guard, and I can't help but laugh at her playful remark. The effects of the wine have clearly loosened her inhibitions, and her lighthearted comment brings a smile to my face.
"Ooh, are you going to arrest me, officer?" she prompts as I guide her through the door.
"I might if you don't be quiet!" I joke back, rolling my eyes and closing the door.
She jumps onto the bed, breasts bouncing from the impact and nearly coming out of her top. "Maybe I want you to make me be quiet, Mr. Officer."
I can feel myself getting hard at her suggestion, but I try to push the thought out of my head. Mia is drunk, and the last thing I want to do is take advantage of her.
"Come on, let's get you into bed," I say, trying to redirect her attention.
But Mia just grins seductively at me before reaching down to unzip her dress and let it fall to the floor. "Don't you want to have some fun?" she purrs.
Her body looks incredible in just her bra and panties, and I can feel my resolve weakening with each passing moment. But I know I have to be the responsible one here.
"Mia, we shouldn't do anything when you're like this," I protest weakly.
She pouts at my answer, disappointment clear on her face. "Why not? It'll be our little secret."
I can't help but feel myself becoming aroused at her suggestive tone. The way she's looking at me, her eyes dark and playful, is enough to make my blood boil. I know I shouldn't be doing this, but the way she's acting is making it hard for me to resist.
Without another thought, I make my way over to her and crawl onto the bed, hovering over her body. Her breath hitches as I lean down and press my lips against hers, tasting the remnants of wine on her tongue. It's sloppy and uncoordinated, our teeth clacking together in a frenzy as we explore each other's mouths.
Mia moans softly as I slip a hand up under her shirt and tease a nipple between my fingers. Her body arches beneath me, pressing closer as she grinds against my growing erection. The alcohol has made her bold, her inhibitions fading away as she reaches down to stroke me through my pants.
"Fuck," I groan into her mouth, the sensation of her touch sending sparks of pleasure up my spine. Without breaking the kiss, I work on undoing the button of my pants and freeing myself from their confines.
