I reach into my pocket and pull out a small velvet box. I hand it to her, watching intently as she opens it.

Inside is a delicate silver bracelet, adorned with tiny diamonds that catch the light and shimmer brightly. Mia gasps in awe, her fingers trembling slightly as she picks up the dainty piece of jewelry.

"It's beautiful," she breathes, looking up at me with a mixture of surprise and gratitude.

"It's nothing compared to you," I reply sincerely, feeling my heart swell with affection for her.

Mia slips the bracelet onto her wrist, admiring it in the candlelight. "Thank you," she says softly, her eyes sparkling with joy.

As the night wears on, Mia and I continue to talk and laugh, enjoying each other's company more than ever before. The restaurant eventually closes, and we make our way out into the warm summer air.

Standing outside, Mia turns to me with a smile. "I had a wonderful time tonight," she says.

"Me too," I reply, taking her hand in mine. "I promise we'll do this again as soon as I can."

She wraps her arms around my neck, pulling my lips down to hers. "Promise?"

"Promise," I murmur.

She treats me with a tender kiss, nibbling on my bottom lip before whispering, "Then I'll leave you with something to look forward to."

With that, she turns around and skips her way to the front door, shaking her little ass in her dress as she goes.

ANTONIO

As I feel a tap on my shoulder, I turn around to find Mia standing behind me, a playful smile on her lips. "Well, aren't you handsome," she exclaims, her eyes sparkling with admiration. Her compliment sends a warm sensation through me, and I can't help but return her smile.

My gaze travels down her figure, and I'm taken aback by the vision before me. She's dressed in a breathtaking gown, evidently prepared for the ball I invited her to last night. It's a momentous occasion, as it will be Mia's first introduction to our circles of society.

We had discussed amongst ourselves, Xavier, Lucas, and me, the importance of revealing Mia under our controlled circumstances rather than leaving it to an unpredictable future moment. We want her to have a smooth transition and feel comfortable in our world, and this ball presents the perfect opportunity for her grand entrance.

Mia looks radiant in her elegant dress, her beauty enhanced by the careful attention she has given to her appearance. Her gown is a masterpiece, accentuating her graceful silhouette with intricate details and a flattering color that complements her complexion perfectly. Her hair is styled impeccably, and her makeup enhances her natural features, highlighting her eyes and her captivating smile.

It fills me with pride to have Mia by my side, and I step closer to her, unable to hide my admiration. "You look absolutely stunning, sweetheart," I say sincerely, my voice filled with appreciation.

Mia blushes at my compliment, her cheeks turning a soft shade of pink. "Thank you, Antonio," she replies, her eyes shining with delight. "You don't look too bad yourself," she adds with a teasing grin.

I chuckle at her response, feeling a sense of ease and comfort in her presence that I've never experienced with anyone else. Our chemistry feels natural, unforced and effortless. I take her hand in mine and lead her into the ballroom, a sense of confidence emanating from my every step.

As we arrive at the spacious venue, I introduce Mia to some of the most influential figures in attendance, hoping to offer her a glimpse into my social circle and the prestige that comes with it. I can see the admiration in her eyes as she greets each person with poise and grace, carrying herself with an air of sophistication that belies her humble upbringing. It makes no difference in the way countless stares of envy and intrigue follow her on my arm.

As we make our way through the ballroom, I notice some of the men eyeing Mia with increasing interest. I tighten my grip on her hand possessively, sending a clear message to anyone who may consider trying to steal her away. Mia glances up at me and notices my reaction, smiling coyly before leaning in to whisper in my ear.

"You don't have to worry about them, Tony," she says softly, her voice barely audible over the sound of the music. "I'm here with you, and that's all that matters."

Suddenly, a loud booming voice interrupts our conversation. "Antonio!" I turn around to see the mayor approaching me with a smug expression on his face. "I see you've brought a lovely lady with you tonight," he says, eyeing Mia up and down.

I feel a pang of annoyance at his comment but try to mask it with a polite smile. "Yes, this is Mia," I reply, emphasizing her name. "Mia, this is Mayor Birmingham."

"It's a pleasure to meet you," Mia says politely, making a small curtsey.

The mayor eyes her for a moment before offering her his hand. "Likewise, my dear. You look positively stunning tonight."

His wife nods adamantly, admiring her dress with a keen gaze. "It looks designer. What name?"

Mia smiles, her face glowing with pride. "I designed it myself," she replies proudly.
