Page 3 of Stolen Love

The truth in what she says hurts. She’s right. There are conditions he’s going to expect us both to abide by if there’s any hope of keeping her here with me. “Wait and see.” I put on a playful grin for her sake. “He’ll love you just as much as I do before long.”

She only snorts and rolls her eyes. “I know you’re trying to make me feel better, but you don’t need to lay it on that thick.” There’s love in her voice, though, and a smile tugs the corners of her full lips.

“I mean it. He’ll come around. Besides…” I wrap a strand of her hair around my finger, admiring its softness. She is unbelievably soft from head to toe, something I could become addicted to. If I’m honest, I already have. “He’s nothing if not a sucker for my mother’s opinion. Guilia too. And they both adore you.”

“I guess that’s something the Santoro women have that the men sorely lack.” She arches an eyebrow, smirking. “Good sense.”

All I can do is sigh in resignation. “You won’t get an argument out of me on that.”

When I roll over, I lower my body over hers, between her parted thighs. I could die here, wrapped in her, with nothing and no one between us. I plan on pleasuring her in every way imaginable for as long as possible for the rest of our lives.

Reaching between us, I guide the head of my cock to her tight entrance. I close my eyes, giving myself over to the sensation of sinking into her wet heat. Inch by inch, I claim her, or is she claiming me, drawing me deeper, pulling me in with her legs around my hips?

She wraps her arms around my shoulders, holding me close against her firm, supple body. “We need to get going,” she breathes out, moaning and closing her eyes. Then she arches her back to meet my slow, deep strokes.

Like I care. “We will go when I’ve finished with you,” I remind her before driving my cock in deeper.

She throws her head back in sheer ecstasy, and a low growl reverberates in my throat at the vision laid out for me.

“Yes, fuck… more, Luca,” she moans out, and my name is a plea on her lips.

“You’ll take everything I give you like a good girl,” I remind her, but who am I kidding? She will never have to beg.

I slam into her harder and faster as I devour her lips, my tongue sliding with hers. Her nails dig into my back, and her pussy spasms around my cock, moaning out her release. A shudder racks my body as her walls clench around me, and my balls draw up. I drive into her a few more times, grinding into her as I come. The aftershocks of my release have me rocking into her, needing to be as deep as possible, her pussy milking every last drop.

Catching my breath, I pull back and tip her chin so our eyes draw level, “Such a good girl.”

Her delicious lips turn up, a smile spreading as her hands snake around the nape of my neck. “Mm-hmm.”

I’d be tempted to take her again if it weren’t for my family.

A high-pitched female voice rings out loud and clear. “You’re here!”

I can’t help but smile at my beaming sister practically skipping toward us as we reach the dining room with a few minutes to spare. Emilia’s hand is tucked tightly into mine. It’s going to be quite a while before she feels comfortable walking these halls, and I’m not about to rush her. Only I can make her feel safe.

Guilia’s warm reception eases some pressure on my fingers as Emilia loosens up. “Hey, you. You look so pretty in that sweater,” she tells Guilia, reaching out to run a hand over her arm. The pale blue cashmere does look nice on her, though. I have to admit I never pay much attention to things like that.

“You can borrow it anytime you want.” As always, my sister’s generosity and pure heart stir my affection and admiration. There have been times I’ve wished I could be as naturally warm and kind as she is. She is the sunshine in all of our lives, and for years, she and our mother have been the planets we merely revolve around like satellites.

“Actually, I have a better idea.” Guilia’s smile widens when she looks over my shoulder.

I hear Papa’s familiar, heavy footfalls and look behind me to find him entering the dining room. “Good evening,” he says in his usual gruff manner. Right away, I hear the fatigue in his voice. He usually goes out of his way to conceal it in front of the women, but we aren’t normally standing at the threshold of war.

Now that Alessandro Vitali has made a move on behalf of his ailing father and destroyed two of our most critical container ports as a means of revenge for not handing Emilia over, there’s no point in pretending we aren’t about to engage in something bloody.

Guilia isn’t interested in any of that as she hurries across the room, wearing a big smile. “Papa, I want to take Emilia shopping. Now that she’s living here, she needs new clothes and other things.” She kisses him on one sagging cheek before draping an arm around his waist and letting her head rest on his shoulder. “We can go, right? We’ll be careful.”

“There you go again,” Dante grumbles as he enters the room, barely glancing up from his phone long enough to scowl at our charming little sister. “Bombarding him as soon as he’s in the room.”

I understand something Dante never will. Papa needs the balance Guilia brings to his life. Like now, for instance, when he cracks the first genuine smile I’ve seen all day. “We’ll see.”

Guilia turns to us and winks before grinning. She knows that means yes. Emilia laughs softly while I remind myself that it’s perfectly fine for the love of my life to go off and do her own thing now and then. She needs room to breathe. I loathe the idea of letting her out of my sight, but I can’t hold onto her too tightly. Loving her means giving her a little freedom within limits.

“You’ll be guarded the whole time,” I assure her in case she’s worried. “You’ll be safe.”

She looks up at me with a knowing grin, then whispers, “Are you trying to convince me or yourself?” She sees through me, a concept that should be terrifying but leaves me wanting to sink into her more. More of my trust and faith—I see it all reflected back at me in her loving gaze, which makes it all worthwhile. I know what an incredible thing I’ve found, and I’m not about to let anything get in the way. Not even myself.
