Page 17 of Braking for Daddy

In fact, it was such a good distraction that I stripped the linens off my bed and threw those in the wash so I’d have crisp and clean sheets for Max in case he ended up at my place after we picked up our test results. We’d planned a whole afternoon around picking them up from the clinic, going to dinner, and then heading back for dessert.

At least, that was what Max called it. Daddy dessert.

He was making it hard for me to be patient. Mostly because he was always making me hard.

Every time I thought about him, his smile, his lips, or one of the several shower scenes we’d experienced together would pop into my mind. Like earlier, when Max told me how much he wanted to suck my Daddy dick and drink up all the cream that came out of it.

I wanted more than anything to be with him in person, but I showed him just how much cream would come out. Twice. So much so that I felt a little lightheaded after and had to turn the water from hot to cool to keep from passing out.

That boy was gonna be the death of me, but what a way to go.

It was after ten when my phone rang and the photo of Max sleeping with his stuffie appeared on the screen. “Hey, sweetheart. Are you home already?”

“No.” His voice cracked, and I instantly knew something was wrong.

“Where are you, Max?” I was already reaching for my keys and stepping into my shoes before he even said anything else.

“I don’t know.” I could hear the tears making his whispered words ragged. “We ended up at a party for someone Augie met at the bar. He said it was for a photographer who was looking for models, and Augie wants to be a model.”

“Where, baby? Tell me where the party is.” I knew I should have asked him to share his location.

“I feel funny.” He was slurring slightly. “But I only had one drink since I got here. I promise.”

Fuck. “Are you at the Roosevelt? Marriott? Um, shit…what’s that one on Murray… The Saint Francis.”

“Yeah, that one. Francis. Franny. Francisco. Am I in San Francisco? No, just Mother Francis.” He sighed. “I think I’m floating.”

“Don’t eat or drink anything else.” The Saint Francis was across the street from my gym, so I knew exactly where he was. “Do you remember which floor?”

“The big one.” There was a tapping sound, and then he was back with his scream-whisper again. “Brayden! I’m hiding over here. My Daddy is gonna get us.”

“What do you mean by the big one?” I didn’t think the hotel staff would be any help if I just walked in and asked where the party was, so I needed something to go on. “Do you remember a room number?”

“The whole big one.” Max burped and then giggled. “Oh, that was yucky. Like… Oh, my tummy hurts.”

I didn’t even have a chance to react before I heard Max puking wherever he was. That was good. He needed to get that shit out of his system…whatever it was. “I’ll be there in five minutes, sunshine. Can you remember which button you pushed on the elevator?”

He moaned a bit, so I knew he was conscious, but it took a few seconds for him to respond. “The top one. The whole party is here on the outside. With the planets around us.”

“The rooftop bar?” I’d worked several parties up there when celebrities were in town for concerts or weddings. Then his conversation with Brayden came to mind. “Where are you hiding?”

“Under the bed?”

What the fuck? “What bed? Aren’t you outside?”

“The bed to sit on. I’m sleepy.”

Goddammit. “Just stay where you are, baby. Daddy’s coming.”

I put my call with Max on hold and called Roy, one of my buddies from work. He lived in a condo above the gym and could be there at the same time I could, if not sooner. “Hey, Jay. What’s good?”

“Nothing at the moment. I need your help.”

“Anything.” The change in his tone was instant, going from friendly and relaxed to work-mode. “What?”

“Can you run across the street to the Saint Francis? My boyfriend and a few of his friends are at a party on the rooftop. Sounds like Max was dosed with something. I don’t know about his friends but there should be four of them, so I’ll need help getting them out if they’re as messed up as Max is.”

“Fuck.” There was rustling in the background and I knew Roy was already on his way. “I heard music up there a while ago but nothing unusual. I’m heading down now.”
