“Why is your hair messed up?” Colton ruffles it even more before I can dodge him.

I try to fucking smooth it. “It isn’t.”

Noah and Colton have just arrived in my office with news. But they seem far more interested in the state of my hair and—goddamn it—the fact that my shirt is partly untucked. I shove it back into place.

Both of them are scrutinizing me with curious smirks on their faces. And Colton has much less of a filter. “Are you screwing Rylee again?”

“What? No. Fuck no.”

“Then why do you look like you just got laid right here in this office?” Colton grins.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

My brothers are way too observant for their—or my—own good. I slide my hand into my pocket to make sure Tex’s panties aren’t sticking out. I clutch them in my fist.

She’s real. My Hawaiian dream girl exists and I get to see her again tonight.

Noah’s hardly more subtle. “Who is she?”

I abruptly change the subject. “There is no ‘she’.”

I’m acutely aware that I confessed to Noah about the girl I met in Hawaii. I told him she was Texan. I’m half panicking that he’ll make the connection.

“Can we please get to the reason you’re here? What did you find out?”

I’m grateful when Noah’s concentration returns to business. “I just got back from a meeting with the CEO of Sanderson Fitzpatrick,” Noah says. “His name is Eliot Bentley. He seems like a decent enough guy. He was as shocked by all this as we were. And he confirmed that the email that contained the insider trading info was sent from our office and was addressed to a person at Sanderson Fitzpatrick who doesn’t exist.”

“Doesn’t exist?”

“We know the email was sent [email protected],” Noah says. “What we didn’t know is that there’s no one at the company with those initials or a name that’s even remotely similar to whatever that means. There never has been.”

My brain still isn’t functioning as well as it should be after the most intense two orgasms I’ve ever had in my goddamn life. Sex without condoms is a game-changer. Sex without condoms with my sweet Texan goddess is fucking mind-blowing. “So the email was sent to their server from ours, addressed to no one and for no apparent reason.”

“For one reason,” Colton points out.

It’s dawning on me.

FUCM.

Fuck you, Cash Maddox. “To bring down Invested Enterprises,” I murmur. It has to be her. It was Rylee.

Colton is pacing. “So we have an enemy inside our own walls.”

Noah sits on the arm of one of the leather couches. “It would appear that away.”

I’d suspected it, sure, but I never thought she’d go that far. She hates me so much she’s willing to bring down the company and potentially risk jail time. This is serious shit.

I think we’re all making the same assumption. “The woman I’m no longer fucking.”

“Is she really that pissed off about the break-up? That she’d ruin us over it?” Noah is incredulous. Knowing my brother as well as I do, all his break-ups are amicable and his exes still end up adoring him and calling him for advice even months later.

You deserve whatever’s coming to you. That’s what she’d said to me.

“It sure looks that way,” I confirm. “Now all we have to do is prove it.”
