Valentino and his new wife hosted an annual masquerade every year where an auction was held. Elite attendees would bid on willing women and spend a night or weekend with them. While most of the money went to several foundations, it was an event the wealthy people loved to attend, to get laid or have fun watching people fuck in hotel rooms. The whole thing was mesmerizing.

Though Valentino was happily married, and they were monogamous, they still loved to host the event. I’d only ever been once before Jenna came into Ian’s life. Before Luke and I became official, I had wondered what it would’ve been like to stand on that stage and have some hot, rich man bid on a night with me.

“We’re expanding the other side of the club,” Ian replied, pulling me from my daydream. “It’ll be for more exclusive guests. People like all of us.”

“What do you mean, like us?” Emilio fidgeted with a butterfly knife, spinning it between his fingers.

Emilio aka Diavolo, the middle and arrogant Rovati brother, was the one most people wouldn’t dare challenge. He was ruthless and didn’t pretend to like anyone because he barely liked people‌. While he also owned a gentlemen’s club in New York, those close to him knew he was a contracted assassin for a government agency that assisted in international manhunts. His targets never left his presence alive.

“You know exactly what I mean.” Ian’s gaze darted to each of the men at the table before he returned his attention back to Valentino. “I think hosting a masquerade here would be fun, but we’ll have different themed rooms. I have five rooms and two larger rooms available.”

“Not as fun as it would be if you weren’t married,” Giovanni, the eldest and Don of the Rovati family, joked, though his face was anything but amused.

“Leave my wife out of this,” Ian warned. “She’s more than enough.”

“Will we see her dance tonight?” Enrico brushed his fingers through his blonde spiky quiff as he asked.

Ian nodded. “If she wants to dance, she’ll dance. I let her do what she wants.”

That caused Giovanni to smile, zipping his eyes at Valentino, whose lips were pursed as he rocked back and forth in his chair. His fist was closed at his mouth as he tried to hide a smirk. Ian never let women do what they wanted, so it got a rise out of the gentlemen in the room.

“Vaffanculo a chi t’è morto,” Giovanni chuckled at Valentino.

Valentino lowered his hand, lifting his chin at Giovanni. “Testa di cazzo. I’m proud to be married.”

Laughter erupted from everyone except me, as there were certain words that I couldn’t quite understand. Looking up at the ceiling, I took a deep breath. “Mr. Knight?”

“Alright, alright,” he lifted a hand. “My assistant isn’t fluent yet. Let’s speak English.”

“What about your brother-in-law?” Enrico nodded at Tyler. “He speak it?”

Tyler’s tongue rolled over his bottom lip, and he straightened his posture. “Ti metto un remo in culo e ti sventolo per l’aria.”

“Oddio,” Valentino’s teeth gleamed in a wide, flawless smile.

The room erupted with laughter. Ian gave Tyler a proud nod, but I was feeling completely lost and I gasped under my breath, “What did he say?”

The noise died down and Nico leaned close to my ear. “Ty said he’d stick an oar in his ass and wave him like a flag.”

I giggled but was shocked Tyler lived through that statement, even if it was a joke. He was lucky he was Ian’s family. It made him untouchable.

After remaining quiet for some time, Vito suddenly cleared his throat, catching the attention of the group of friends who had been enjoying themselves. He reached into his jacket and pulled out a cigar, lighting it without saying a word. Ian didn’t stop him and took out a cigarette of his own, lighting it.

“Let’s talk legal.” Vito lifted a brow.

Giovanni crossed his arms high on his chest. “Sì. How do you plan to execute this?”

“Well,” Ian sighed, “besides Jake keeping people off my ass,” he jerked his head toward Tyler. “Ty’s my lawyer. He’ll be handling everything for me. Tell them what your plan is.”

Since Ian and Tyler became family, and Ian trusted him, Tyler had been put in charge of everything involving legal matters. And he was damn good at it.

“While this won’t be legal in any way,” Tyler twisted the swivel chair back and forth slowly as he spoke, “we’ll do a damn good job at making it appear as close to legal as we can and ignoring the rest. There will be a substantial membership fee, due annually with an NDA they’ll all sign. This bypasses the door fee, which eliminates accusations of prostitution in a way. We won’t have it on the books, and it’ll be charged under a code, not the CE name.”

I picked up the pen and got ready to take notes, but Ian nudged me under the table with his foot. I glanced over and he subtly shook his head. He turned his attention back to Tyler. I laid the stylus down.

“I’ve created a fake company with accounts that only Ian, Luke, and I have access to,” Tyler continued. “This protects the business on the legal and illegal sides. I won’t share the information because I don’t want any of you to be held liable should anything ever come to light. If this shit does ever blow up, I’m the one choosing to go down with the ship.”

“You do owe that much to your sister after that shit you pulled with her,” Emilio sneered, narrowing his gaze on Tyler.
