Ian clenched his jaw. “Ty, you’re moving your office here.”

“What?”

“I didn’t stutter. You’re done with other clients. From now on, you only rep my companies and us only. Us, meaning Luke too, and whatever he has going on outside here in the future. I’ll pay you whatever. I don’t give a fuck, but if you’re going to turn this place into my worst nightmare, you’re working here, too.” He twirled a finger in the air before sliding his hands in his pockets, lifting his chin at the door. “Choose whatever available room you want as your office, and the rest we’ll turn into a fucking Club Euphoria daycare.” He darted his gaze between Tyler and me. “Jade, I want those rooms cleared out before he and his family get back from their vacation.”

I nodded. “Yes, sir.”

The door pushed open, and Ice Man peeked inside. “Mr. Knight?—”

“Ian,” he corrected, “it’s fine.”

“Okay, well, I think we should hire someone to watch these kids if they’re going to be here.” He took a step in, Dylan and Naya sitting on each of his feet. Giggles erupted from them both as he carefully walked a few more steps into the room, with them hanging on for dear life. “And as much as I love these little humans, I do not volunteer.”

Jenna snickered, shaking her head. “Dylan, leave Mr. Ice Man alone.”

“Nooo,” he whined, but it quickly turned into another giggle as Ice Man took another step toward us.

“Come here,” Ian ordered his son in a calm yet fatherly tone, though he wanted to laugh.

Dylan let go, rolling backward, and stood, bouncing over to Ian’s desk chair. Then, he climbed up into it. “Daddy say… get out.” He shook a finger and then threw his head back, laughing.

We tried to hide our amusement, but it was too funny. Ian quickly wiped away his laughter before turning back to Tyler with seriousness. “No one outside our circle is to know about this right now. NO ONE,” he spat. “The minute you return, I want you moved over here.”

Tyler nodded. “Fine.”

Ian took his phone from his pocket, furrowing his brow at the screen. “Alright, I need to take this in private. Everyone out except Ice Man.”

“Out!” Dylan pointed, repeating his father just as Ian picked him up out of the chair, setting his feet on the floor.

He took off, zooming out of the room. Naya stood, skipping out and the rest of us filed into the lobby, Ice Man closing the door behind us. Kira made a noise and Jenna excused herself, hurrying to her with Dylan scampering closely behind.

“Hey, kiddos,” I called out to them, and they all lifted their eyes to me. “I need to speak to Tyler alone for a minute and need you guys to behave and not leave this room, okay?” Since they were older, I knew they’d stay put.

“Yes, ma’am,” Jackson and Evan replied together.

“Okay, Mom,” Maddie added, “yes, ma’am, I mean.”

With a nod, I glimpsed Tyler, who was staring at me with knitted brows. “Come on.” I led him out of the executive lobby, skipping the elevator, and taking the stairs. Once we were in the downstairs hallway, we sauntered to Ian’s private room. It was one of the only places in the club with disabled cameras. I wasn’t taking chances of anyone hearing or seeing us. Stepping in front of me, he reached over, opened the door, and held out his arm, letting me in first.

“Close it,” I murmured.

“What’s going on?” he asked, shutting the door, and strode to the platform, unbuttoning his jacket, and sat on the edge.

I rested my fists on my hips. “Why has Ian been acting strange?”

He arched a brow. “I was hoping you could tell me.”

“You’re with him just as much as Luke is and Luke’s not here, so what do you know?”

“Nothing.” He lifted his hands. “I noticed he’s been acting wicked weird and thought maybe you’d know. I planned to ask you.” He pressed his hands into the platform at his sides. “I really have no clue.”

“Something is bothering him.”

“I agree.” He slid off the stage, perching on the edge with his arms folded. His muscles strained for release from his navy-blue suit. “You know I’d give my life for him, so I promise I won’t let anything happen to any of you.”

“Listen,” I flashed him my palm, “we’re not putting ourselves in any position where anyone has to give their life for anyone.”

“I’m just saying.” He arched a brow, pointing to his face. I doubt any amount of scarring could’ve taken away from his gorgeous face. If anything, the scars somehow made him more handsome, if that were even possible. Right now, they were still fresh, but over time, they’d come to be less noticeable, or so he was told. He’d been doctoring them to prevent it as much as he could, but even if he were stuck with them looking as they currently did, it wouldn’t matter.
