I blanched. “She did talk to you.”

“All that’s none of my business.”

“But she did talk to you.” I angled until I got his attention, his eyes. “She did, right?”

Which explained all the eyeing he was doing at me this morning. I thought I’d been paranoid. Fuck.

“She did, but again, all that is none of my business.”

“Then why do you know about it?” I was kind of pissed now, that shit personal.

Calm down.

The kid was calm for all of us and must have been doing some of the same calming shit Fawn was on. She’d come on to me in a way that was completely different than who she’d been. There’d been no emotion there. She’d wanted something and approached the situation with intention.

And she’d gotten it.

I’d given it to her, thought with my cock, and apparently, my brother knew the details about it. He forced his hair out of his face, rubbing his neck. “We’re friends, Ares. She had some concerns, and we talked about them.”

“What kind of concerns?”

A crack in the armor, his eyes narrowed. They cut at me, and I was grateful for some emotion between us. His jaw shifted. “I won’t talk to you about that. Fawn and I are friends, so we talked, and I won’t fuck with that friendship by telling you what we talked about.”

“Well, what about our friendship?” I got close. Or had he forgotten that we’re brothers? Not all brothers were friends, but the kid and I were, and he was keeping shit from me about Fawn.

He put a hand out. “Don’t put me in between you both. Don’t you fucking dare.” He put a finger in my face. “You treated Fawn like shit, and it took all I had to be neutral about everything when she talked to me. I did that because you and I are friends. Brothers.” His nostrils flared. “Now, again, I will emphasize anything to do with you two is none of my business. I just ask whatever you decide to do that you’re honest with her and make whatever your intentions are for that relationship clear.”

Because he thought I was playing with her, fucking with her. I forced out a breath. “Look. I don’t know exactly what she talked to you about regarding her and me, but…” I rubbed my mouth. “Moving forward there won’t be anything. Not physical. Not anything.”

We’d be adding gasoline to an already flammable situation, and I couldn’t handle it.

It nearly killed me the last time.

Bru wouldn’t look at me, puffing up. I didn’t see the kid angry a lot, but he’d been nothing but angry since he got back into town. That was on me, and I didn’t like putting him in the middle of all this.

He put his hand on the door. “Just make your intentions clear, Ares.”

And then he was shutting the door in my face. I cursed, but didn’t make him talk to me. I had a feeling that would just make all this worse.

My phone buzzed.

My anxiety was on one hundred these days, but for some reason, I thought answering a text was a good idea in that moment. My texts weren’t good lately, but I glanced at my phone anyway.

Fuuuck.

Tits. Beautiful, rosy tits were on my phone screen. An arm held the swell up, nipples covered, and the curve of the softest-looking stomach exposed beneath. Her jeans were open below, lace panties peeking out…

I bit my knuckles as another text rolled in.

Fawn: Did you get the text?

Oh, I fucking got it. She showed me everything but her fucking nipples.

That came next.

Blood rushed to my dick, Fawn on her back with the camera above her. It was at this point I was easing as far away from the Escalade as I could. I had my back to it when the texts came in, but wasn’t taking any chances my brother could see what just buzzed onto my phone.

What is she doing to me?
