Perhaps, she thought moving into a random aisle and sitting between a couple of people would keep me from her.

I showed her different.

I was like a fucking peacock in this bitch with the way I got attention. Needless to say, I didn’t have to do much when I hovered over one of the guys she decided to sit between. She gave herself a few seats’ berth between the guys, but one still blocked my path to get to her.

The guy I loomed largely over bristled, and when I jerked my chin, he got up and literally climbed over the seats. I smirked, but Aspen didn’t. Her jaw dropped beneath a set of dark Ray-Bans before her supple lips pursed tight. I’d licked the gloss off those lips just last night, and they were still too fucking tempting.

Yeah, that’s not why you stalked her into her class.

I’d been doing lots of stupid shit when it came to her, and apparently, I was taking up a goddamn tally. I sat right next to her close, and she jolted just like she’d done last night. As this reaction was normal, I didn’t call attention to it. I leaned closer. “Snowflake?”

Aspen gauged her situation. She was caught between me and a guy a few seats down, and the one who dodged me sat right in front of her. She was trapped, and because she was, all she decided to do was hunker down in her seat. Her hand gripped her ball cap, adjusting it further over her head. She obviously wasn’t wearing her wig today and had her long hair in a single braid over her shoulder. Her tresses were thick with length and reminded me of that actress from the new Little Mermaid movie. I knew all about that chick for, um, reasons. Aspen’s low-sitting jeans and tube top were giving the vibe of that singer Aaliyah from the nineties, though. The outfit showed off her pert navel as well as gave ample views of the outline of her tits.

And I wasn’t the only dude to notice.

The guy next to her may have been a few seats down, but he wasn’t being subtle about looking at her chest.

That was until I growled.

He pulled the same maneuver as his friend as he scaled the seats, and I’d laugh at that shit if I were trying to catch attention.

Snowflake took an opportunity with the seats next to her vacant. There were still too many people in the aisle for her to escape, but she didn’t have to sit next to me anymore. She moved, giving us a few seats’ berth, but sighing, I got up too. She really was going to make me chase her.

I sat right next to her again, and this time, she gazed around. It was like she was looking for backup, but after I growled at the fucker earlier, no one was looking at her.

That’s right, snowflake. It’s just you and me.

That was how it should be, what I wanted, and why the fuck was this girl at my school?

I said her nickname again, low, and Aspen chose to further ignore my ass when she pulled a notebook out of her purse. Perhaps, she thought she’d actually get some notes in during her lecture and the well over two hundred pounds of Pembroke football player beside her would just disa-fucking-ppear. I was underweight as far as I was concerned, but I’d been stressed and hadn’t gotten in the gym as much as I wanted to lately.

Pushing that out of my head, I draped an arm behind Aspen’s chair. “So you’ll fuck me but won’t talk to me?”

The look she shot me was deadly, fearless. She’d had fear last night, and even some in the bathroom just now. Actually, there’d been a lot of fear then.

But not now. Now, she just looked like she wanted to take that pen of hers and shove it directly into my goddamn chest. Her jaw clenched. “You’re deranged.”

And she was bold. I pressed against her. “Deranged is fucking some random guy at a rave after you’ve been publicly threatened.”

Her head shot my way again, and if I could see her eyes behind her aviators, I bet I’d see the return of that fear. She now knew I was up in her life a bit, but I didn’t give a single fuck.

“You really are a stalker,” she gritted, and I could see why she’d think that. I mean, I had locked her away for an entire summer, and that required some planning, stalking. There were details of her life I had to take note of in order to execute what had gone down, and all that had been found out after her location had been discovered…

And I’d been arrested.

That wasn’t the case today, though. Well, kinda. I’d been naturally curious after seeing her last night and instinct told me to check Pembroke-U’s records. The hacker in me couldn’t help myself, and it didn’t take long for me to discover she was a new student here.

I may have done a little stalking for that detail, but finding out she was threatened recently had nothing to do with that. I wet my lips. “I just have a cell phone and the ability to scroll my social media feed.”

She had been threatened, got some fucked-up letters, and now, here she was at a very public place. Private university or not, Pembroke had a lot of people on its fucking campus. In fact, because it was Ivy League, it had a lot of people.

Aspen restlessly messed with the braid over her shoulder, and her outfit looked a bit like she was trying to blend in kinda. Ball caps and sunglasses were actually pretty common in a world where folks showed up lazy and hungover for class, but enrolling in college after one clearly had a threat on her life didn’t seem like the best idea. I heard of being hungry for knowledge, but what the fucking shit? She released her braid. “Kind of sounds like you’re the one who sent the threats.”

“Nice try, snowflake. You came to my campus.”

“So what? You could have found out. Followed me.” She gazed around again, but this time, it didn’t appear for aid. She kept her voice down and stayed low like she was trying to keep this conversation between us. Her dark eyebrows narrowed. “How do I know it wasn’t you who threatened me?”

Again, it made sense she’d come to this conclusion. A lot had come out after what happened between us, all the information I had on her day-to-day during that time. The pictures I had of her and the notes I’d taken…
