"True," he concedes, a sly smile playing on his lips. "But that doesn’t make it any less true."

The song crescendos around us, and I'm lost in the symphony of emotions that Emrys elicits. His gaze holds mine, a gentle challenge to embrace the future we'll create together–one filled with passion, precision, and endless possibilities.

As the night wears on, I find myself enveloped in the joyous cacophony of celebration. I am the eye of the hurricane, calm and centered, as love swirls chaotically around me. Each dance, each touch, is a note in the harmony of our unconventional melody. And as I spin in the arms of these three incredible men, I can't help but think that, regardless of how unorthodox our arrangement may seem, it feels like the most natural thing in the world.

"Kat, this...all of this," Wyatt says, gesturing around at the celebration. "It's just the beginning, isn't it?"

"Absolutely," I assure him, my voice laced with a thrill. "The start of one wild, incredible journey."

We laugh together, and as he releases me to Wilder's waiting arms, the sense of contentment swells within me. Wilder catches me smoothly, his strength a promise of steadfastness in our ever-evolving world. As we sway to the music, my gaze drifts, taking in the sea of familiar faces, all here to witness love in its purest, most jubilant form.

My mom approaches, her smile as warm as the summer sun. Releasing me gently, Wilder rests his hand on my hip, keeping me close as I turn to face my mom. Squeezing my hand gently, her eyes gleam with unspoken understanding. "Kat, darling, I’m so happy for you," she whispers conspiratorially, her eyes growing watery as she glances at the guys. "You know…that’s all I’ve ever wanted. Is for you to find someone who makes you happy. I was trying to help."

"I know, Mom. I’ve never hated you for it. Maybe rolled my eyes a time or two, but I always knew where it came from. I know how much you love me," I reply, the warmth of her acceptance wrapping around me like a comforting shawl. "It means everything to have your blessing."

"Go on, live your happiness," she encourages with a playful nudge before she steps back, leaving room for my dad to creep in.

"Kit-Kat," he says, his voice low and earnest over the music. "You're redefining love for all the youngins, you know."

"Thanks…I think?" I reply, a smirk on my lips. "I just hope we can challenge a few norms along the way."

"Challenge them? You're shattering them." He drops his voice to a whisper, eyes sparkling with mischief as he glances at Wilder over my shoulder. “Just so you know, you have nothing to worry about with us. I always knew you were the type to break walls of expectation and pave your own path. You’re my daughter after all.”

He chuckles, clapping Wilder on the shoulder once before offering my mom his arm and disappearing into the festivities.

As the evening unfolds, I'm awash with a profound sense of gratitude. Here, embraced by the tangible affection of Wyatt, Wilder, and Emrys, bolstered by the support of those I hold dear, I revel in the reality that this, here, is my forever. Together, we are rewriting the narrative of love–one shared adventure, one whispered secret, one stolen glance at a time.

The dance floor pulses with energy, a swirl of colors and laughter under the twinkling lights. I'm in the eye of the storm, my hand clasped in Wilder's, until he’s spinning me into Wyatt’s arms. Then, in turn, I end up in Emrys’.

"Let's make waves," Emrys whispers, voicing the unspoken mantra of our unconventional union.

"Only if they're big enough to surf," I quip, leaning into the strength of his embrace.

"Are you ready for forever?" Wyatt murmurs as we all come together, him and Wilder flanking us on either side.

"Forever feels too short," I reply, my voice steady even if my heart races with the exhilaration of our shared future.

They exchange glances, each smile reflecting a facet of our love–a prism of passion and understanding. In this moment, with their arms around me, the rest of the world fades. We are a unit, a team, a constellation charting a course through unexplored skies.

"Let's show them how it's done," Wyatt says, his eyes alight with the spark of revolution.

"Let's redefine forever," Emrys adds, his tone resolute.

"Let's love like no one's watching," I declare, and the pact is sealed.

Our story–one of love multiplied, not divided–will be one for the ages. We are trailblazers, carving out our version of happily ever after, fearless in our pursuit of happiness.

This is our forever. And it's only just the beginning.

Epilogue

ONE MONTH AFTER CANCUN

The buzz of the studio lights hums a low anthem that’s a direct contrast to the coolness I’m exuding in my plush armchair. Across from me, the interviewer, a woman with a hawk-eye for heartbeats and hidden tales, tilts her head as if preparing to start asking the hard questions.

I know where this is going.

"So, Kathryn," she starts, her voice smooth as silk, "your work has been nothing short of revolutionary. Let’s talk about the opening of your newest animal sanctuary."
