“And that includes staff, but not Boot Knockers,” she said slowly.

“Right.”

“Do you guys sleep with other men?”

Ash met the eyes of his lover. Piers was it for him. Watching the guys fuck or give each other blow jobs turned him on, but he didn’t want any of them.

“Just each other.”

His expression serious, Piers nodded in agreement with that statement.

She sat back in her seat. “But now you’ve violated your contracts by taking me without condoms.”

They both nodded in answer. What else was there to say?

Sylvee bowed her head. She didn’t speak for a long moment, but when Ash saw a tear drip off her chin, he dropped his fork and made a grab for her.

“Oh, baby. Don’t cry. Fuck. We didn’t mean to make you upset. We want to make you happy.”

She sniffled. “I’m the one who screwed up. I got so stuck on the idea of being a mother. My biological clock isn’t just ticking—it’s been blaring like a siren for a long time now. And Charlie was so horrible about it. The entire situation was so heartbreaking, and in the end, I think I’m the reason he had an affair.”

“No.” Ash’s raised voice made her look up. He brushed the tears off her cheeks and stared into her eyes. “It’s not your fault. Charlie should have ended things with you if he wanted to move on. But it was never a bad thing to want a family with the man you love.”

“Loved.” Her whisper stroked over Ash’s senses. Then she lifted her fingertips to touch his jaw, her eyes filled with wonder. “I don’t love Charlie anymore. It’s been a while since I did. But now that I’ve been here with you and Piers…” She shifted her stare to Piers, whose eyes were burning with tenderness. “I know a different kind of love.”

Ash cupped her cheek, and she leaned into his touch. “I’ve been in love with you since the day you stepped onto the school bus, Peachy. That fact never changed. Over the years, that love morphed from having a teenage crush to loving you as a friend. But the minute I put my hands on you—my mouth on you… The minute I claimed your body, things changed for me. My love is…”

He broke off, floundering.

Piers had the words. “The love between a man and woman.” He shoved out a sigh. “I feel it too, Sylvee.”

“Oh, guys.” She reached across the table for Piers, and they clasped hands. Under the table, she gripped Ash’s thigh.

Piers stared at her for a long minute. “Honey, if you’re carrying our child—”

“Our child?” she cut in.

He ducked his head in that hard nod that warned Ash he was done fucking around. He was going to get his point across.

“Ash and I come as a team. What’s mine is his. What’s his is mine. That includes any child that comes from this union. What do you think of that?”

Her lips popped open. For several heartbeats, she was still and silent. Ash’s palms started to sweat.

She spoke at last. “I’m not sure I understand what you’re saying.”

“The pros are that two of us will help you. We’ll pay support. We’ll be here for you and the child.”

Ash’s gut clenched at the idea that right this moment, she could be carrying his son. Or his daughter.

His throat closed off. Struggling, he finally realized why.

“I don’t know about you, man, but the idea of not being involved in the child’s life—or Sylvee’s—guts me. I can’t fucking do it. I’ll leave the ranch before I let her walk away.”

Sylvee felt every single place that her men had touched her. The small muscle strains of having so much sex in the past few days only gave her a pleasant sensation, though.

And she felt thoroughly loved.
