Both of them are holding a bundle in pink blankets. I shake my head. She can’t handle this right now. But then I see it. The bundles move, and one of the babies starts to cry.

“Oh, thank god.” I sob and shake Mallory.

“Open your eyes, Mall. I got them. They’re ok.” Blaze approaches the bed.

I crawl off and go to Kooper.

I peek into the blanket and see little blue eyes looking up at me. Mallory’s cries grow, and I turn to see her holding her daughter. I push Kooper in her direction.

“Give her that baby right now.” I urge.

“Thank you!” Mallory screams out into the universe.

Blaze climbs into bed with her and the babies.

Kooper and I stand there watching the family reunite. The door at our backs opens, and Tobias comes in.

“Can we meet them?” Mallory smiles at her father and nods.

“Come on, Sugar. It’s gonna be crowded in here.” He pulls me out in the hall as the rest of the family rushes past us.

“What happened?” He shakes his head.

“Not now. Are you ok?” He rubs my belly and kisses my forehead.

I nod and let him hold me. It feels like he’s healing a whole he left behind. He sighs and takes his hat off. I rub the lines around his eyes.

“You look so tired.” He smiles.

“It’s been a long night.” My fingers come away from his temples wet.

I bring them in front of my face and see blood.

“Shit, I thought I go it all.” He pulls a rag out of his back pocket and rubs my fingers clean.

The envelope Abel gave him earlier falls to the floor, and I grab it before he can. He sighs and waves me on. I pull the paper out and read it.

“Baby Boy Justice?” I’m having a boy?

“That fucker.” I growl under my breath.

“You talking about me?” Abel approaches, looking worse than Kooper.

Seer and Wolf are with him. Both have matching grins on their faces, which means they were up to no good. They all look like they just came back from war.

“Any injuries?” I can’t tell where the blood there sporting came from.

“None.” Wolf grins.

“Fine.”

Cowboy

Nope, not after the night I had.

We were able to save the girls and about a half dozen more kids and double that in women who we found in cages in that basement. They were beefing sold via live stream video.

Along with shutting down the drug mules sleeping in the house along with the men cooking the shit up. Alejandro Baez has even more reason to hate us now.
