Great.

I would walk into a bar looking like a fucking wreck after finding my fiancée cheating with my soon-to-be married sister.

“Simone, please let me explain.” I slap my purse on the bar and single the bartender.

The gorgeous guy makes no moves to look away from the show Tyler is putting on.

“White wine,” I say to the bartender while Tyler keeps talking behind me.

“It was one last time!” What the fuck did he just say to me?

I turn slowly to face him. His falls when he realizes his mistake.

“Last time? Tell me, Tyler, how often have you been fucking my sister? Does your brother know?” Gorgeous guy chokes on his drink but it’s Tylers smirk that finally breaks me.

“Well, yeah. We’ve been switching on our girls since high school. But tonight was the last time, I swear!” My vision narrows, and my hand flies across the air so fast I don’t feel the sting of my palm slapping his face until he looks at me with wide eyes.

“Simone,“ he rubs his jaw as I work the ring off my finger and throw it at his chest.

It bounces and rolls under a nearby table.

“Sir, I think you should get that and leave.” The gorgeous guy stands and flexes the muscles that his suit isn’t trying to hide.

“Stay out of this!” Tyler hisses in his face.

“Do I need to call the cops?” The bartender asks as he sets my wine glass down.

“Yes.”

“No,” Tyler says before I can close my mouth.

The gorgeous guy leans into Tyler and not so quietly whispers so I can hear his every word.

“Tyler, is it? From what I just heard, you admitted to letting your brother rape your ex-fiancee. I’d take the ring and find a good attorney.” Tyler’s face drains of all color, and my stomach twists in knots because that is precisely what he did.

“Oh god.” I grab the bar when I grow dizzy, and Tyler reaches for me.

“DON’T FUCKING TOUCH ME!” I scream, and he backs away slowly with his palms up.

He grabs the diamond ring off the floor and looks at me before turning for the door. Before he leaves, he says four words that burn me to my soul.

“You aren’t worth it.” The door slams, and I have to look to make sure the glass hasn’t shattered.

I take my wine and drain the glass.

“Another,” I call out and sit down before my legs give out.

“Thank you,” I turn to find the gorgeous guy right next to me.

“Nothing any decent human being wouldn’t do. Sorry, your night has been so horrible. Maybe I can help turn it around.” He smiles, and it transforms his face.

“How?” I can’t fathom any way of saving this night.

“Play a game with me. It’s easy. Just forget him.” He points over his shoulder at the door Tyler just fled from.

“So, pretend like that didn’t happen?” I nod at the bartender, pouring my wine, and then grab his wrist.

“Just leave it.” He raises an eyebrow but places the bottle next to my glass.
