The bull jerks forward, and she yelps as she almost loses her hold.

I chuckle and clap for her. “You got this, Bec!”

The bull jerks back and forth slowly a few more times. The whole time, Becca is giggling like crazy and holding on for dear life. I clap and cheer for her, even as she starts to slide off the bull.

Another line dancing song blares through the speaker system. Behind me, another round of line dancers crowds the floor that separates the mechanical bull from the tables.

Someone bumps me from behind. When I turn to look, I see a guy with a creepy smile on his face, holding his phone up.

“Damn, baby. Bounce those titties again,” he hollers at Becca.

When I realize that he’s filming her, I shove his shoulder. I glare at him, sickened and enraged. “Don’t fucking film her, asshole.”

I look back at Becca. She’s still smiling and laughing, which means she didn’t hear him thankfully.

When I glance back at him, he’s frowning at me, but after a second his gaze focuses. He steps into my space. I try to back up, but I bump up against the pen. A gross smirk appears on his face as he corners me.

“I’d be happy to film you instead, doll. All you have to do is ask.”

I push his arm, but he laughs as he stumbles back, righting himself instantly. He grabs my waist. Fear slices through me. At five-foot-six, I don’t often feel small or weak. But this guy’s got a handful of inches on me and is bigger than me too. He could grab me or overpower me without much effort, I’m sure.

He leans forward, lowering his face to mine. “Maybe you can invite your pretty friend to join us too. The more the merrier.”

He winks, that smirk of his unmoving. I feel like I’m going to puke.

“Don’t touch me.” I shove his hand away, but he just laughs, like he’s having a blast groping and taunting me.

Just then a massive hand grips his shoulder, pulling him off balance. That smile drops from his face as he stumbles back, revealing the person behind him.

“Tyler…” I murmur.

I trail off when I take in his expression. Tyler’s looking at this guy like he wants to murder him. I stand there, my mouth agape as I gaze at him.

I think back to all the times we’ve hung out together. I’m so used to seeing him in a good mood, always joking and laughing and smiling. I’ve seen him annoyed a few times, but even then it fades pretty quickly.

I’ve never, ever seen Tyler like this.

He moves his body between me and the creep, like he’s trying to be a human barrier. I take in his tall, broad posture, how he’s standing with his fists clenched at his sides, how he looks like he’s aching to rip this creep’s throat out right here in the middle of this bar.

“Don’t fucking touch her,” Tyler growls.

The creep is scowling now. “What the hell’s your problem, man?” he barks.

“You touched her when she told you not to. That’s my fucking problem.”

The guy scoffs and curses at Tyler before shoving him, but Tyler is so solid, he barely moves.

The guy looks like he’s going to burst a blood vessel, he’s so pissed. “You think you can come up to me and…”

Just then Gage walks up to us. Theo appears a second later, along with three of his hockey teammates I recognize. Xander, Dylan, and Isaac, I think their names are.

“What’s the problem?” Gage asks. He scowls at the creepy guy.

“This asshole was groping Tori,” Tyler says.

“He was filming Becca too,” I say.

Gage, Tyler, Theo, and Theo’s teammates look at me in shock. A beat later their expressions turn to disgust. They all glower at the creep.
