Page 67 of No Freaking Way

My best friend who’s also my fake boyfriend.

But the word “fake” just doesn’t feel right, not anymore.

Because there was nothing fake about how he made me feel when I was naked with him, at my most vulnerable.

Tyler was better than any actual boyfriend I’ve ever had.

You want him to be your real boyfriend.

I let that silent admission settle in my brain. It’s true. I don’t want this to be fake anymore.

My stomach does a somersault as I think about admitting this to him. I don’t think I can hide this from him. I’d feel too guilty keeping my true feelings a secret. And I can’t keep going along with this fake arrangement when my feelings for him have grown this much, when I feel this strongly for him.

I gaze up at him and wonder if I have the guts to tell him how I truly feel.

Before I can figure that out, he starts to stir. Seconds later, he opens his eyes. He aims a sleepy smile at me.

“Good morning,” he rasps.

I shiver at how his voice sounds even deeper and lower and more growly when he wakes up.

“Morning,” I say. I’m smiling like a goofball, I’m sure of it. With anyone else, I’d feel self-conscious and try my hardest to rein it in. Not with Tyler.

I can tell by the adoring look on his face while he gazes at me that he thinks my smile is cute.

He moves to spoon me. “How long were we out?” he asks.

I lean up and swipe my phone from the nightstand. “Wow. Like six hours.”

I glance at the black-out blinds in my bedroom. A sliver of light blue early morning sky peeks through.

Tyler’s warm, soft lips land on my shoulder. He trails kisses up my shoulder to the base of my neck. And then he surprises me when he lightly scrapes his teeth along that sensitive patch of skin. I gasp.

“Have any plans this morning?” he murmurs against my skin.

I smile and reach my arm back so I can run my fingers through his hair. “No plans.”

“Good. Because I’m hungry for breakfast.”

He dusts one more kiss on my shoulder before gripping his hands on my hips and pressing me down against the bed.

He moves so he’s on top of me and kisses me again. For a second, I worry about my morning breath, but I focus on the teasing moves of his tongue, how he’s running his hands all over my body. Clearly, he doesn’t notice or doesn’t care.

He kisses down my chest, stopping at my boobs to give them extra attention. I’m panting by the time he trails kisses down my stomach and makes it between my legs.

When he presses a light kiss on my clit, I giggle.

“Something funny?” he says against my inner thigh.

“Nope.” My head spins as he bites lightly against my skin. It feels so ticklish and so good.

The minute his tongue laps my clit, I stop laughing. My mouth falls open and I gasp.

“Oh my god, Tyler.” I groan. “How are you so good at this?”

“Practice,” he murmurs.

I let out a breathy laugh, but I stop when his tongue flicks faster. The soft, wet warmth of his mouth and tongue are heaven.
