Am I in love with Tori? We’ve only been together for just over a month, and the first part of our relationship was fake.
Can I really be in love with her after such a short amount of time?
My mind draws a blank. I have no idea. This is my first relationship ever. I don’t really know how long it takes to fall in love with someone. I know it’s not a timeline that you’re supposed to follow. I know that it’s different for everyone…
I think about how I’m never happier than when I’m with Tori. No one makes me laugh as much as she does. Around her, I feel like I can be myself. Seeing her smile makes my entire day. I don’t sleep well unless she’s cuddled in bed with me. Her safety and happiness mean everything to me—more than my own.
There’s a sudden drop in my chest and stomach. It feels weirdly intense.
Is this what it feels like to be in love?
“So. Have you told your brother yet about reducing your hours at the restaurant?” my dad asks, pulling me back to the present.
“I’m going to do that next,” I say. “I wanted to get you out of the way first. You’re the boss, after all.”
He chuckles and we walk back out to the kitchen.
I think back to what Tori said when I talked myself down in comparison to my dad and brother.
Don’t sell yourself short, Tyler. You’re just as good as they are.
Even more proof of just how incredible she is.
I can’t wait to tell her how well this all went. And to finally be able to spend time with her again.
I set aside the love question. I shouldn’t be obsessing about that right now. Our relationship is still pretty new. I should just go with the flow and focus on enjoying the moment.
I pull out my phone and text her.
Me: Hey. Can you come over tonight? I miss you and want to see you
Tori: You’re free? I thought you’d be busy filming for Instagram
Tori: Miss you too btw
Me: I reworked my schedule at Se’bon and I have more free time now. And the only thing I want to do with that free time is see you
Me: Also, I think we should cross off another item from your sex list. We fell behind when I got busy the past couple of weeks
Me: How about we work on foreplay tonight?
Tori: LOL you always give me plenty of foreplay every time we’re together
Me: I ordered a new toy for you though
Me: I wanna try it out on you
Tori: You got me a new toy?? I’ll be over after work tonight!
Me: Can’t wait ;)

When Tyler lets me into his apartment, he doesn’t even say hello. He just pulls me against him and kisses me.
“Fuck, I missed you,” he murmurs.
