I moved closer, inadvertently brushing my shoulder against his. Our gazes clashed, an intensity flaring between us, before I swallowed it down and stared back at the screen. “So, with this lead, you think you can follow it to actually find him?”

“I broke a dozen laws hacking into every camera I could find, starting with the pharmacy’s. I identified the truck in question, called in a couple of favors, and managed to track it to a warehouse ten miles down the road from the store.”

He pulled up the warehouse in question, street-view style.

My breath caught in my throat, anticipation thrumming. “He’s there. We’ve got him.”

“Yeah, we fucking do.”

I squeezed his shoulder. “Real good work.”

As I went to pull away, to go and tell Kill the good news, Caleb grasped my hand and tugged me closer. His other wrapped around my nape, and he crushed his mouth to mine.

I hadn’t realized how much was still building between us until the moment he swept his tongue over my lip and demanded more.

The next thing I knew, I was fisting my hand in his hair and holding him to me as I rose to it and kissed him back aggressively.

It was untamed, almost violent as our tongues, lips and teeth clashed in a storm of passion that was exploding between us.

“Wow,” a voice sounded behind us. “I did kind of see this coming, to be honest.”

I jerked back and spun around to see Kill standing there with a smartass smirk on his face, his grappling gloves still on, his bare chest sheened with a whole lot of sweat and dripping along the waistband of his shorts.

“Ash is gonna be all for this development. I see a dirty and kinky-as-fuck threesome coming real soon with you depraved fucks.”

“Kill, what you saw—”

“And heard last night,” he said, winking.

Jesus.

“It was just—”

“Chill, J, I get it. It was about you both taking the edge off, just like I’m doing with that heavy bag. Plus, you and Caleb have a similar relationship with Ash, so it makes sense you’d find comfort in one another.”

I didn’t like that. A similar relationship? Hell fucking no.

“It’s not the same,” I burst out with before I could reel it in.

“It’s not?” Kill asked, honestly wanting to know, and not actually being a dick about it.

Caleb rose from his stool and folded his arms across his chest in that cool, unaffected way of his. “I’d say not, considering Ash is in love with him.”

I did a double take as I looked at Caleb. “What?”

Kill walked to us, looking unbelievably shocked. “He told you that?” he asked him.

Caleb nodded and explained, “He was struggling with everything that’d been happening with the takedowns, the ambitious overall mission to destroy the Infidels, the whole weight of it all.”

“Asher doesn’t voice that shit,” I said, skeptical to say the least.

“He had to if he’d wanted the meds. It was a condition.”

Him and his conditions.

“What meds?” Killian asked.

“We’ll get into it later,” I told him.
